Re: Ceiling insulation question
How big are your gable vents? It would be some work but you could use PVC pipe to make a ridgid extension for the blown insulation. Stick it in from each end and move back and forth as you pull it back out.

Pulling up peel and stick tiles
Hoping somebody may have some suggestions here. A neighbor/friend of mine bought another trailer in the park for cheap. It was pretty much abandoned and we are fixing it up to sell it. It's a nice trailer about 20 years old with new roof, siding, windows, kitchen cabinets. We primed and spray textur...

Re: cracks in ceiling
I would try to find a reputable company(Or do it yourself) to come out and check to see if your home is level. There is NO way that the other company could have checked with a carpenter's level. A water level is the only real way to check level of these homes. Even if you are selling it you still wa...

Re: cracks in ceiling
I'm guessing they didn't properly check or level it. Like Greg said they need to use a water level and check each pier. I'm guessing your home isn't level. I would try to find a different company to come out and check the level. As for painting the ceiling you can try to fill the cracks with with a ...

As a general rule the forum doesn't discuss electrical issues. Troubleshooting over the internet is difficult.

If you get a chance I'd love to see some pictures of the process of how you're sliding the two halves together.

Any details on why you are throwing in the towel?
As for additions unless the MH and addition are on piers that go down to the frost line they will move and shift separately.

Brush and then roller as long as the roller isn't leaving a bunch of extra paint in the grooves when you roll it.

Re: Leaks around vent pipes
What type of roof do you have? Another thought here is water always takes the path of least resistance and flows downhill. I've seen it before where water is leaking inside at one spot but it is getting thru the roof in another spot up higher and traveling down the sheathing or rafters to spot where...

Re: Windows
Dale hit this one on the head. Mobile homes can use "regular" windows just fine. Your contractor just doesn't want to do the job or doesn't know how to. As long as the MH is level then you can use a regular home window. I have replace one of ours with a regular window from menards and it h...

Re: Roof-Over Overhang Question
Maybe take a framing square and see what exactly isn't square, the roof or the house. Then call the contractor and ask how come it turned out like that. He most likely is going to say some excuse that isn't his fault. But at least you can bring it to his attention and see what he says and see if he ...

I like that countertop and sink. Although I think my kids would make a mess of it with water splashing all over!
What kind of trim or edging are you putting on the front where the tile ends?
