Re: Countertops and plumbing

As part of our redo, I would like to put in new kitchen sink, faucet, and countertops. Am I correct in assuming that granite countertops would be too heavy for a MH? Is there a light weight look alike? englishk72, I researched the same thing for about a year before we decided on what to use in our ...

RE: Faucets

Hi Rhonda, We have replaced all of the faucets in our house with regular ones. And we have replaced the sink twice with regular, deeper sinks. The first sink was a composite and my husband had to enlarge the opening about a 1/2"; when we installed that sink we also installed a pull out spray no...

RE: Trailer, MH or Manufactured?

Julie, I am in Amarillo...so it's not like there is a lack of service type businesses...they just don't want to work on mobile homes. As soon as they hear the words "mobile home" they act as if we have the plague or something. It amazes me that they will do repair work in ratty, dirty, run...

RE: Hide trailer hitch?

What about a little 3' or so high fence? Like the ones that they put around air conditioning units. It could be painted to match your house so that it would not be as noticeable.

RE: Trailer, MH or Manufactured?

My house is just short of 2000 square feet with a concrete porch and a covered concrete patio and concrete sidewalks all around it. Yes, it could be moved but not without a lot of headache. So like Teatime said, "My home isn't "mobile" unless there's a big crew, at least two semis, an...

"Ten Commandments" for a responsible pet parent

Since Mark is getting a new pet, I thought he and other pet owners would enjoy this. This was in a newsletter from PetsMart and is told from the pet's perspective. 1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you will be very painful. 2. Give me time to understand what you want from...

Anyway, we're new to this dog stuff. Been reading and watching training videos. What kind of dog do you have? Any good training tips? The barking makes me the most nervous. Mark Hi Mark, Congratulations on getting a new family member! Like Greg said, it will soon become just like a member of your f...

RE: Tankless Hot Water Heater

Thanks for the additional information on the tankless water heaters. The water pressure issue is something we had not thought about but is definitely something that could be problematic...especially in the summer when the sprinkler system is running.
