The liability rests with the manufacturer, however since that has long since expired, it will be up to you to fix. It sounds like the problem was anticipated, not accidental. Home insurance is different than say auto insurance. There are more exclusions, because the stakes are higher, for the most p...

RE: Question for Greg...
I'll second the Natures Miracle post. It's available at most pet stores and a few major box stores. It actually eliminates the problem instead of covering it up. When Elvis was a puppy and had a problem of not understanding the doggie door concept, we had a problem with our new carpet. When we put a...

RE: Rolled-on DRY paint
It does look very interesting. I, too, think it's overpriced. Wallpaper would be much less expensive, paint much less expensive than wallpaper. I was hoping to find an easy way not to finish the drywall in the guest bedroom, guess I'll have to keep looking. (or get DH to finish it)

RE: washer shakes the house
I'd work on the legs first. You can do anything you want if it's not level its probably not going to operate properly. We have a "tall" type front loader and we've had a regular washer as well. The old kind was like having a freight train run through the middle of the house. Scared the dog...

RE: Attaching a Porch to a Doublewide on a Permanent Foundat
It would depend on the kind of foundation. Our "mobile" home isn't mobile in any way anymore. If ssl's home was attached to a basement or slab it would be just as any other home would be.

RE: Asian Lady Beetles / Ladybugs
You can spray your home with water sudsy with dish soap. I think it worked when we were invaded four years ago. The day the dish network guy came we had to literally brush him down before he could come in. We had so many that they lived with us for about a year and a half indoors before they finally...

RE: Home Depot and Lowes
We have a superduper Menards opening within a week here, and it's on the way home from work. I like Lowes better here though for customer service, at least some of the employees. Several know me and greet me by name when I come in and try to help me personally. I asked one of them why once and how d...

RE: decorating ideas
On the second to last Design Star show this season on HGTV, Kim did decorate a mh. It was not to my taste but it was still ok. Her choices were somewhat limited because the area she was in was rather limited on the amount of things she could find to purchase. It was done in "country" and I...
