It appears that there are no soffit vents. Just ridge and gable. I guess I could try to add what I could , a few inches anyway. At least fill in the gaps.

No, the home has a flat 7.5 foot ceiling through out the house. I can see from the front gable vent to the back gable vent.

Thanks Greg.... yes, it's confusing! I did find out that one side of the encapsulated insulation has small holes. The other side is solid. (The solid side is the side with the writing). That side functions as the vapor barrier and goes against the heated surface/side. It also has the staple flanges....

Any ideas on the heater ducts and how I should insulate? What about tearing out and just using flex. I worry about the vulnerability of hanging flex duct under the home.
