Re: Coleman EB Series Furnace / Filter Problems

Hi,

Do you have heat only or heat and a/c ?

IF you have a/c, does it do this in cool mode also ?

Thanks,

Re: Catching on fire

Hi Jodi,

No recalls on that furnace. You will definitely need an hvac tech to thoroughly inspect and properly diagnose.

Find one who is reputable, but beware of last one. It should not ever cost $500 to diagnose a furnace problem.

Re: model DGAT075BDF Won't stay lit

Hi William,

That is often due to a dirty or misaligned remote flame sensor.

You can carefully inspect ceramic shroud for cracks and clean sensor rod with steel wool.

Do not touch with bare hands. Turn power off first.

Re: Blower

Hi Don, IF you purchased the sequencer from us, it may be covered under the warranty IF the sequencer itself is bad. Getting 24vac across H1 and H2 is what energizes M1/M2 and M3/M4 and closes them. You will read 240vac before they close and 0vac after they close. You stated M1/M2 is still reading 2...

Re: Intertherm ID

Hi Gord,

Data sticker should be on lower electrical component panel cover. WITH a call for heat from t-stat, you should have 240vac across each element coil after about 30/45 seconds.

Test end terminals on white ceramic insulators.

Sequencer is most common problem.

Re: Need Allergy Filters for Colman Evcon Presidential Furna

Hi,

Call Mark @ 605-229-2627 to see if he has those or can get them. Probably be quicker to contact a local hvac contractor.

Thanks,

Re: Blower

Hi Don,

Sequencer is bad. M1/M2 should read 0vac.

M1/M2 controls one element coil and the blower motor in auto.

Do you need ordering info for the sequencer ?

Thanks,
Robert

Re: Furnace way to loud. Moving it back 3 feet.

Hi,

Don't remember the question, but it appeared to be concerning return air. Do not get that confused with combustion air to the burner.

Re: A-coil help needed

Hi,

When first installed, it is matched with outdoor condensing unit.

Later on, it may be replaced by same or a compatible coil.

Usually the a-coil is a half ton larger than the condensing unit for a heat pump.

What is your furnace model number ?

Robert
