Thanks for responses, Greg and Aaron.
They went out of business, so they won't be fixing it. The windows are several years old, and I just noticed that, duh!
MY question was answered, thank you both.

RE: Window/Siding

We are looking up at the siding over the window. The wavy aluminum. The frame of the original window seems to have been over the top of the siding, as there is caulking still there. I wonder if I should close those vertical gaps somehow. Can cold air be going up there, into the home? http://mobileho...

Window/Siding

When new windows were installed, they put the top edges under the siding. It's drafty in winter. I don't know if that is the cause. Should I be closing that off somehow? Caulk, screws etc.? I'm leaning out the window. looking up at it) http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/81_siding_2_crop_2.jpg

RE: Another cold water problem

About the cold water lines. I had a ton of crap in my lines, when the new water heater was installed. It was horrible. As soon as one faucet was cleared, another got plugged. I eventually got new faucets in kitchen and bathroom sink, it was just easier than trying to clean all the gunk out of the ol...

RE: Another cold water problem

Sally, if I say something wrong here, because my old brain forgets details, one of the experts will come and correct me.....please. :) On my old heater, the cold water came in past the bottom of w.h., sucking up sediment, as it passed by. However, the hot water came out from the top, where it was cl...

RE: Another cold water problem

Sally, I didn't answer this sooner because I no longer remember details, and didn't want to embarrass myself. But here goes. Long ago, I asked basically the same question on here and was told that my problem was with the hot water tank, I believe I posted a picture of the 'shale', that was clogging ...

RE: Roof Rakes?

Sherry, my roof rake reaches 16 ft. I only can do one side of my home, standing on the ground, because it's on a hill and the south side is too high. I really only need to do the north side anyway, as the occasional sun keeps the south side clearish. I purchased mine at a local hardware store for $4...

RE: Yanita

Omg Yanita, my heart was racing just reading this. You must have been terrified! I have three cats, and although two of them are twelve years old. only one has ever been really sick. Long story, having to do with stress related tummy problems. I remember well, her not eating for several days, and th...

Yanita

How are the fur babies doing? You said in another thread they were very sick. One feels so helpless when they can't tell us what they are feeling.

Electric Tape

I tried to check if the new electric tape for the water line is in, but couldn't find it in *parts*.
Can someone please direct me to the place to look?
Thanks.

RE: Grandkids

Yanita, thank you for the warm response. Actually, I've been coming to MHR board for many years. I was at the old board also. I just don't talk much. :)
I haven't been coming to the 'Off Topics' for very long. Long enough tho to look forward to Audie's posts, as my laugh for the day...

RE: Grandkids

JD, Nate is adorable. :) I normally don't jump into these 'personal' conversations, since you'll seem to know one another well. I sit here and just smile, hearing the pride in your voices. I certainly understand, as I have 2 granddaughters, ages 4 and 8 mo. Yanita, it must be hard for them to be so ...
