Make sure your skirting is sealed tight with no holes, also mothballs under the home usually keeps critters out. Greg

RE: gas/sewer smell
Have your propane supplier check the propane system first, that is the most dangerous situation. If that checks out then go to the sewer system. Look for leaking trapsunder the sinks and under the home. Greg

RE: Doublewide Remodel to Increase Value
Hi & welcome. You did not say if you were selling the home only and the new owner would have to move it, or if it is a home & land. If you are selling with the land I would say do a modest remodel, If it is going to be moved I doubt I woud bother. When the move is made much of the work you d...

RE: How to cut granite
PLEASE don't try cutting granite with a steel (or carbide) blade. there are hardness issues here. granite is harder than the steel, I would be worried about the blade coming apart and shrapnel flying. I know for a fact that a carbide tipped blade would come apart. forwards, backwards or sideways it ...

DIY, It CAN be done, the thing you want to be concerened with the height. You will need to make sure you have enough room for a top header that will support the weight. Make sure you have the room before you get started. Greg

You will need a tile saw with a diamond blade. I would go with one that uses water for cooling. They are avalable at many rental houses of there are some inexpensive saws at Harbor freight that work well for the DYI. Greg

As I have said, I may complain about the snow & cold, but after the snow storm the home is still here. I really do worry about the rest of the family. I don't have to deal with Hurricanes, fires or floods and I don't envoy those of you that do. Greg

You could try framing the skirting up wuith 2x2 or 2x4. a dog that large will be a challange. You may want to think about steel skirting. Greg

RE: How to Remove Water Lines ???
Hi Vickie, In most homes the lines go down through the floor and are run next to the heat duct to stay warm in cold weather. Some people move the lines to an inside wall usually at the bottom just above the floor and make a small enclosure box to hide them. you will have to follow the pipes and see ...

Yanita has about the best "low budget" approch, the other way would be to make sure the skirting is in good shape with no holes and FILL it with foam insulation, then pray you NEVER have to do any work under there!!! Greg

RE: Electrical question
Shut off the breaker and recheck the connections, sounds like a loose wire. If possible use the screws and not the push in terminals. Greg
