Mouse traps and either peanut butter or cheese. Repeat as necessary to get the job done.

Re: Exterior Wall Insulation

You can remove the gutter screws one at a time and seal them up. Give a drop or two of silicone around each screw head to double seal it. Should be ok. Couldnt hurt to cut out the bad caulk job and start over. Start at the roofline and work your way down, sealing as you go. That way you know you got...

Should be a standard size.

Take your old ones into the store and match 'em up if you want to be sure.

Re: Blinking lights...and they are not supposed to!

Dimming or flickering lights point to faulty ground or weak connections. Many mobiles have those cheap "one piece" switch/outlet (the fixture and box are one piece. The screws are commonly on the corners of the piece, not in the center like a standard box.) If you have those one piece swit...

Re: Shed rehab/upgrade

I love projects like this.
Great part is that you can reuse what isnt rotted out, and make it structurally sound and look way better. Its also nice because most of the new "sheds" out there are built very cheaply, and wear out quicker.

Re: Consequences of an overflowing toilet...

Short term, do whatever you can to dry it out (shop vac, fans, open the windows, etc) Id also check out the toilet, use a toilet auger to make sure theres no partial blockages. Check the water line going in to the toilet for leaks as well. Long term, rip the carpet out and replace with better floori...

Re: Total Remodel - Intro & Project 1: Master Bath

Great idea to get the crimp tool. Once you have the tool/rings/gauges, every project in your house (and future houses) is covered. You can also help out friends and neighbors with their plumbing work, in exchange for some beverages. :)

Re: particle board subfloor rotted under fridge

The rot probably won't get much worse, however it may get weaker over time, especially with a heavy fridge on top of it. Cut it out and replace when you can. While youre there, check the insulation underneath for mold/rot/wetness.
