RE: Residing home

Vicky, one other idea I have and I'm not sure how it would look would be pole barn steel siding, I doubt much of anything would damage it. But it could be hard to work with. Greg

RE: replacement windows where to order

Ted, If you are planning on changing the whole window in the near future, I would go with what you can find and paint to match.
One other thing to think about is cost, You may have a good part of the cost of the new window just in the cost of the storm window. Greg

Take a look at some of the rental houses in your area and see what they are using. Trust me, if they will stand up to the abuse we see in rented units they will stand up to what you do. you may find a deal on a used machine also. Greg

Vickie, welcome to the family. A 9' high panel is going to be about impossible to find and lots of money if you do find something. I would recommend using vinyl siding, it may cost a little more but I personally think it would look much better than the 4' wood panels, plus it lasts a lot longer. Greg

RE: Water pressure question in one bathroom

First to Happy, Air would be pushed out of the system as soon as the tap is open.
Challa, What you will have to do is to start at the last place you have full pressure and start working from there. Check every joint & valve untill you find the restriction. Greg

Gram is right on the money, lime, & rust are the usual culprits, a kinked line is possible. We did have one here a few months ago that finally found a marble in a valve. It may take some work to find. Greg

Most of the pictures from the "old"forum are lost in space, actually Maureen has them I believe she had problems with a hacker and had to lock down the album. I know she has been very busy and I am not sure what the status of them is. I would discourage you from doing an addition unless yo...

Tom, that is the price range for a decent machine for a homeowner. a 2500 psi machine is about the right size for general use, but there is also a GPM rating also. the higher the rating the more water used, again a balancing act, too little water and you will not get it clean, too much and you have ...

Kashton, The problems you are having is the very reason we do not recommend an addition. Unless the addition AND the home are on below frost line footers that will happen. when the ground heaves with frost the home & addition move at different rates and usually in different directions. If you do...

The type that I am thinking of is a Pole barn with no sides built over the home. That way the second roof will support any snow load, deflect rain and give you shade in the summer. Greg

The first idea that comes to my mind is to get the gap sealed up with caulk, foam etc. than build a 6" high step across the front of the tub to hide the mistake, I mean aid in getting in the tub. Greg

Hi & welcome. you could try using some heat. either a heat gun or a propane torch. you may end up at a glass shop and it may be easier in the long run. Greg
