Re: Range hood filter
I went through the same thing when I moved into this place 4 years ago (OMG). I got the model numbers off the hood and went to the manufacturer's website. I looked for my parts and was redirected to a supplier of these older parts. I ordered from them and everything was perfect. I trusted them think...

Lower kitchen cabinet shelf
Of course it's the lower one! It's starting to warp, sag, bow in the middle. The dangerous part is I'm thinking.....of removing the side panel next to the refrigerator. Then I could drill some holes and pull up and out the shelf (pieces) from that end. With the refrigerator out of the way I can have...

LOL!!! Good to 'see' you again, been wondering how the Taj Mahal was going. You've learned a lot, now are you ready to show us the photos? I'm sure with all your work it is gorgeous. Really! I'd love to see what you've done )

WOW, what a lot of very hard work and knowing what you're doing! I think you're part polar bear too!. This is going to be rental property?? How long was it vacant that it got like that? We're starting to get some nice days now, it should make the job a little easier before the humidity gets here. Ve...

Re: How can I reduce the dust in my room?
I'll be REALLY interested in the posts on this. I've lived in three mobile homes since moving to Tennessee all have been very dusty. This 10 yr old one is the oldest.

Re: MAJOR tub faucet leak
:D Mission Accomplished! After going to several plumbing stores, Lowe's and Home Depot and a Mobile Home Parts outlet there was not a replacement stem anywhere. At one of the plumbing stores they replaced the washers and 'O' rings and they work!! I hear silence and have hot water. This spring/fall I...

Re: MAJOR tub faucet leak
Thank you for your help. I don't think I said what I mean, LOL! I guess I don't really want to replace the faucet. I want to take the handles off, replace the stem, washers/no washers, probably grind down the seat a bit then reassemble the handles and the water flow stops. Are the stems on this type...

MAJOR tub faucet leak
OK, I did search past posts for this information. That's how I know to ask, "is this a washer/washerless faucet?" I have Mark's book, but I'm not into doing a full remodel. It's leaking heavy enough to only have lukewarm water. I am going to replace both 'insides' I will turn off the water...

Re: filling the holes on the fake wood trim?
Thanks Greg! I purchased the Guardsman color trio for some places on the cabinets. It is technique time so I've cleared out the pantry, taken all the shelving down and practicing filling in holes in the wall board. The 'contact paper' wood trim definitely needs a smoother touch. One step away from t...

filling the holes on the fake wood trim?
OK, I searched Spackle and nail holes. I get a lot of posts about filling the wallboard holes with Spackle or joint compound. What I don't get is any information on filling the nail holes on the fake wood trim around the doors and "base boards'. It's been my thought to paint these. Has anyone h...

Re: outdoor water faucet?
I would get to it quickly.....I called a plumber! I had drenched underbelly insulation that now has to be removed and replaced. I could not do it myself, but a plumber replaced the hydrant and damaged pipe for $115.00. Well worth it to me...but wish I'd realized sooner the other damage it was doing....
