RE: Another roof question
Spongebob, I would be very concerned about the support factor of 2x2 or 2x3. you left out one key word when you said that none had buckled or collapsed (YET). I would listen to your common sense. If you really want a new style roof I would design at least a 4x4 support in the walls to hold it up wit...

RE: spray on lawn care
Macmom, I used to work for a company that did that type of lawn care. It DOES work well when done right. it requires an even application and the correct weather, If the application is not even it will result is stripes, weather is important as well, if it rains before it is dry it is washed away, if...

I would also let the grant people know of the problem, it may or may not help you, but it will expose the contractor. Greg

RE: Leaning water heater
NancyKay, Please think of re leveling as a temporary repair. It sounds like you need to replace the sub floor. It May sound like a major job but it is not that difficult, but it does take some time to do right. As mac said it could be a wind issue, check the cap on the top of the chimney it is possi...

RE: tub surround caulking left go
Glen, If your doors & windows open & close normally without binding than I doubt the home has shifted. The first thing that comes to my mind is poor adhesion, or as you said the bead could be too small. Is there any movement of the tub when you are in it? Greg

Macmom, you are right, if you are using the heavy plate glass mirror the door WILL NOT hold it - I tried it. One of the thin "cheap" mirrors would most likely be fine. Greg

RE: Garden Tub question
Your home should have at least 2x6 joists, the same as many stick built homes. I dont think I would worry too much. You may want to check "down stairs" to make sure you have the home properly supported to make your self feel better. Greg
