RE: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall - Please come down

We had 2 huge garden tub mirrors and 2 vanity mirrors to remove. We tried putty knife (no luck), heat gun (no luck), wire (no luck) and wire with heat gut assist (no luck). Ours were excessively taped, exuberantly glued, and for good measure had mirror clips all the way around and a metal track for ...

My hubby got us tickets to see "Larry the Cable Guy." He didn't even ask me first - just ventured out on his own. That's romance!

RE: Valentines Day

I asked hubby what he would get me for Valentine's Day, if he was going to get me something. We're still newlyweds. He said: 1. Gold necklace with little gold heart on it: open it up with picture of he and me. [I don't like jewlery] 2. Perfume: women love perfume. I love perfume for women. [I'm alle...

Mark If you're wondering if fast food could also be a culprit in your stomach issues, you just have to watch "Supersize Me." In case you haven't seen the video a guy decides he will eat from the McDonald's menu 3 meals a day for 30 days. He undergoes tests before and during the trial to mo...

RE: Fools Walk in Where Angels Fear to Tread

I think this post has a happy ending. Hubby got up early to get us a fish for dinner and lookin round the property discovered we had enough tires, drain pipe and such left over to expand the Nautical Love Shack. Me and Little Mister know thats free building materials -- we'll need them tires to hold...

Yanita

Good Grief, your man had a car?

I live in Deep East Texas. What does ROFL stand for? The Roof-Overs Finally Level?

Easy for you to talk, I'm lookin right at you and you got a whole mouth full of teeth. Here in deep East Texas, we're just hoping for some upfront teeth. Just enough to keep the smile from looking too disturbing.

RE: Fools Walk in Where Angels Fear to Tread

Nautical Fishing Shack When I first started lookin around for a man in my small town, I just wanted him to have teeth. The more the better. And if a few of them were in the front, I figured he was at least worth an audition. I understand you spit your snuff out through the missin teef. Well the man ...

RE: Fools Walk in Where Angels Fear to Tread

Harry Pretending to care. Stay away from Victorian proper. That requires a pair of 100-year-old bifocals and white opera gloves perched ever so daintily on a lace doily under a $1,000 Tiffany lamp on an eighteenth century ball and claw-foot table. Once the mobile home gets rollin down the road, it's...

Yanita, you might not need to clean before you decorate, but you absolutely must clean before you snap that pic. LOL

So far that bathroom is off limits.

RE: Koiflowers

Thanks. I do like contemporary, just can't get it going on in this house. I'm using the furniture from my Victorian house that was traditional, and making it work here. But that furniture is too big for these spaces, so it doesn't make be very happy. Hubby is a welder, so he likes to work with metal...

RE: Our turn now

One more thought. I resisted getting a myspace page until my daughter set it up for me. Now I get on myspace and chat (IM) with my son in Iraq for hours on end. Those boys and girls over there have computers and internet, or they borrow some time on a friend's computer. One night JD and I talked for...

Cleaning tub versus repainting or replacing

Hi. I have received couple of "private" posts asking about cleaning plastic mobile home tubs using the suggestion I found on thriftyfun.com. So many people on other groups have this same problem that I thought even though its really corny I would post a couple before and after pics of my s...

RE: Our turn now

My heart goes out to you, because my son is home on leave and "returns" to Iraq early Monday morning, to resume his 3rd tour and I'm reading your post and wondering if I can quit crying before he comes in and catches me with red eyes. Thank you for posting your pic. http://mobilehomerepair...
