Short cycling until it warms up inside the home.
Nordyne/Miller Standing Pilot, LPG MGHA-075AAFC-01 Furnace has been sitting in a cold house for a while. When started up, blower would come on for a short while, then off for a short while, then back on for a little longer period of time. The short cycling would continue, but fan staying on a little...

Wanting to check flue pipe for blockage
Nordyne/Miller Standing Pilot, LPG Model #: MGHA-075AAFC-01 Serial #: MGH9108-03007 Wanting to check for blockage in the flue pipe from furnace to roof top vent. Never done that before and I assume I could remove the vent (roof jack?) on top and look down the pipe, but according to a parts illustrat...

Re: Lear-Siegler AGC-80 Type B standing pilot Propane burner
Thanks Dale... Tried to get in touch with this homeowner, but haven't heard back from him yet. Will get a pic soon as I can or look into the pilot access hole while moving that lever. When I was at this home last, it was summer time and we were working on his cooling system (package unit) and after ...

Lear-Siegler AGC-80 Type B standing pilot Propane burner.
Lear-Siegler AGC-80 Type B standing pilot Propane burner. The pilot light access hole is fairly close to the bottom of the furnace. On the left side of the cabinet also near the bottom, is a lever to turn something inside the box. Damper? Anyone know what this is (the lever - its function, etc.) and...

Not sure what happens but the board in the Blend Air box interacts with the main control board causing strange things to happen. I didn't even think about the Blend Air system causing your problem..SORRY!! No apology necessary, and I left out the part, initially, about me trying the startups with t...

Turns out that this furnace was on an ongoing recall list for a possible overheat condition of the heat ex-changer, leading to property damage or worse. Here's the affected furnace models and website for more information: The ColemanĀ®, ColemanĀ® Evcon, and Red T furnaces are used in manufactured hous...

Re: Coleman lights up, but shuts down soon after...
Currently, I have no way to get a pic from my phone to my PC. Digicam died - haven't replaced it yet. However... google'd for mobile home furnace pics, and this one from your own site is an exact match, including the Fresh Air box ("B"). Control board is in box A, mounted in a horizontal p...

No trap door - glass viewing port. Flame stays on for only about 5 seconds or so. http://microlightstore.com/microamps-dc_test_pic.jpg If this is how (the above pic) a multimeter should be hooked up, in series, to the flame sensor, I could do this. In this pic, the white wire is coming from the cont...

Re: Coleman lights up, but shuts down soon after...
Thanks so much for your reply, Dale. I did notice that tang and wondered what it was for... Now, I remember reading something about this... the path of current or voltage (for the flame sensor) actually goes through the flame (from the control board, via the flame sensor) to the burner tube (?), so ...

Re: Coleman lights up, but shuts down soon after...
Well, I just google'd for "Coleman main burner tube ignitor" and answered my own question about the position of the ignitor. Apparently, it is directly at the end of the main burner tube, in a horizontal position. Gotta go back & check this tomorrow.
