Re: Eaves from factory?
The hinged eaves were folded up onto the roof. A hinge was installed on each truss kind of like a mending or gusset plate. The installer of the home would have to install the felt and shingles on the eaves after they were hinged down off the roof and screwed into place. They would leave off the firs...

Re: E2EB - 015HB Element help
Hank, the part numbers I find are Nordyne pt# 902818, that is the upper 5KW element, and Nordyne pt# 902821, that is the lower 10KW element. Hope that helps you out.

Re: Eaves from factory?
Since it is a double wide home I would say eaves are part of the original structure. 14' wide units were being allowed for transport in the early to mid 70's. Half of your home would make it under that 14' wide limit with the eaves completely installed and not hinged as Greg mentioned. The hinged on...

Looking in with a light will not help you much in this case. The spark is out of the way and so small the light will only obscure it. There really is no way to see the little spark the lever actually creates. Those things usually quit working within a few years anyway.

Re: Wanting to check flue pipe for blockage
Short of using some type of "spy" camera you won't be able to check the entire heat exchanger for a blockage. Odds are if it's running and not going out during full burn and not cycling on limit, you're good to go.

Re: Short cycling until it warms up inside the home.
When you circulate cooler/colder air through the furnace itself, it will cool down quicker and the fan switch will cut off power to the blower. It is temperature activated. What you described is a completely normal operation of the unit upon start up in a cold home.

Post a pic if you can. Thinking back, if it's the one I remember, that lever is a spark generator. Pushing down and lifting up on it you should hear a clicking sound. If no click, it is not working any more.

Re: Can I disconnect BlendAir permanently?
Must be another switch up near the motor in the Blend Air roof vent assembly. It could be humidity operated or temperature operated as an override to the low voltage wiring you have already disconnected. OR the switch I speak of is stuck in the ON position. You will have to go on the roof and just d...

Re: E2EB - 015HB Element help
This is a tough one. Another tech was in there and made some changes to the unit. Wiring may be missing. I can look up the model and get you the right part numbers for both elements but wiring them in could be challenging.

Yep, just pull the Blend Air wiring out of all the connections and leave all other wiring intact.

Re: Can I disconnect BlendAir permanently?
There is a flex duct connected to the top of the furnace. Inside that duct, on top of the furnace, is an automatic damper....if so equipped. That damper should get either jammed open or removed to allow free flow of air into the furnace cabinet. The fan motor of the Blend Air system located in the r...

Re: Can I disconnect BlendAir permanently?
You can disconnect it. Without the motor it will be a passive system. When the blower comes on it will pull fresh in through the flex duct.
