Great Service

It took only two days for my 'belly repair kit' to arrive at my door.
Thanks for the quick service, Mark or Lise.

Speaking of Groundwater

The hole with the water pipe that is wrapped with heat tape has standing water in it. The (unplugged) heat tape is wet. Next to that one is a metal pipe that has electric wires in it, going up through the belly, I'm assuming to the water heater? That hole too is filled with water. Are the electric l...

RE: SouthWest Corner Cold

Thank you Harry and Greg.
I am lucky enough to have Arcade Electric, famous for being low-cost. (so far)
I checked today and although they don't do the audit, I was given a phone number to call, who does do it.
Thanks again.

Original poster, did you by any chance just acquire a cat(s)?
I know from experience that litter dust travels from room to room.

SouthWest Corner Cold

Last winter, the south and west walls of my singlewide, were extremely cold. It was an especially windy winter in Southwestern NY. The waterheater closet which is in the southwest corner, was warm. There was no cold air coming in around pipes. I was sure I'd see siding problems, when I was able to i...

RE: Electronic Gurus?

Oh cool, more ideas to try. I had a rotor at one time. Didn't help. The wind is so intense on the hill here, that the antenna kept turning on it's own, until the pro installars screwed the pole itself, to the deck it's attached to. Now it doesn't turn, the wind just bends or breaks the metal prong t...

RE: Electronic Gurus?

Greg, I do have an amplfier, (Radio Shack, by the way). Without it, there was no signal at all from the outdoor antenna. It doesn't help that I am on the side of a hill, and at least one of the towers is in the direction of the woods at the top of the hill. I will try shortening the cable first. It ...

Electronic Gurus?

I have two 25in analog TVs, that I do not want to replace. One in living room, now has a converter box, that works well for digital stations. It gives me only 2 extra. I live in the boonies. I cannot get cable, and do not want the expense of sattelite, that went out everytime the weather was bad. (h...

Yes, it does. You're not actually taking the outdoor water from the house.
When I figure out how to explain my water problem consisely, I will be looking for advice. :)

RE: Water Softener

Harry, do you have to go into your 'filter closet', to divert it, when you use outdoor faucets? You can't be using softened water for outdoor use?
My reason for asking would take too long to explain.

RE: Choosing Lawn Tractor

Audie, the tractor has been in use since 1988. It has mowed tough weedy fields, pulled a cart loaded with stone, hauled cut up tree trunks, pushed a front end snow blower, pulled a rotiller, turned over rows of hardpack ground, with never a complaint. My hubby kept it greased, oiled, cleaned, etc., ...

RE: Ahhhh..the first mowing of the year!!

Audie, when you write a book, I'll be first in line to buy. :)

I went to sleep last night dreaming of waking up early, and heading out to the 'tractor stores', for some comparison window shopping.
Uh, maybe I'll wait for the newly fallen snow to go away first.
