ceiling vents definned

Those mysterious vents in our ceilings are called,
Roof Sofit Depressurization vents found them at this site. Not speakers as my x air conditioning guy suggested.

flooring

We have that crazy P/B sub floor throughout the whole hose, it also has sheet vinyl floated over all the sub floor, under the walls complete kitchen and baths and so on. We would like to go down with some hardwood or laminate type flooring instead of the carpeting we now have. I have been told I do ...

Re: Doublewide back door sticking

I can not say if they will work on your home, my bet is yes. I have them on 3 entrance doors and 4 interior doors they work flawlessly. My entrance doors have 4 screws and the interior doors have 3 screws. You might contact the company and speak with them. It sounds like it is possible someone insta...

Re: Doublewide back door sticking

This just might help your door problems. I installed a set on one door to test and now all doors have them and when things move I adjust the door.

Re: Intertherm Heating and Air system

DaleM I quickly checked the end that is the loudest, peeling back just enough to peek at the duct , it appears to have what looks like L brackets lag bolts holding it in place. Do you think we should loosen all those bolts, there is one piece of flex duct connecting to two sides together and no sign...

Intertherm Heating and Air system

Coming from the marine field I have very little experience H/A systems in mobile homes. I have 2 questions. 1. Last summer at night from the master bedroom we kept hearing a ticking, kind of like water dripping. We concluded it was from the vent register in master bath. It was when the air was on an...

Re: Drywall

The only reasons not to texture the walls, is if you plan on wallpaper or vinyl or other type of wall covering.
I have seen drywall painted with out texture and it does not look as good. There are many types of texturing available now days. There are even some firms that specialize in that field.

Re: Drywall

Not sure what you mean. My plans are to tape the cracks and the drywall seams that I had to replace because of plumbing leaks. The texture will match the existing walls. All the walls are textured as is all the drywall in these homes and also site built homes, the only walls that do not have texture...

Drywall

I have all the plumbing issues taken care of, now to finish the drywall damage caused by the plumbing. We have a 2005 model, so it's not that old. I have found the drywall to be installed with staples aprox. 2.5 inches long and also no tape at the seems, just mud. I believe that is why we have so ma...
