Removal of Belly Wrap, Old Insulation and Particle Board

Can anyone shed light on the process of removing old belly wrap and old insulation and replacing with new materials? I thought about installing complete new belly wrap and having insulation blown in to fill the belly. Has anyone ever tried this approach?

Re: Particle Board Removal; Post # 2 with More Pictures

Brenda: Yes, the installation will be for later in the spring. I thought about completely removing the old stuff and going with all new material. Any suggestions regarding a complete re-do of insulation and belly wrap is appreciated. JD: The removal of the sill plate (bottom plate) expedited the rem...

Should I Insulate My PEX Piping?

I'll be running new PEX under the joists, yet above the belly wrap and insulation. I'm considering The 6' pieces of tubular insulation over my PEX. Mark's book says to NOT insulate the piping. Re: New MH Kitchen Photos

That is beautiful! That's exactly what I want to do with my rentals, but I can't. People just tear things up. If I ever retire to where I live in a MH, I'll do one from the ground up. Very nice job DCDiva!

Re: ceiling paint

Paint Kilz (latex) on the entire ceiling for best result. If ceiling is laden with nicotine, use Kilz oil-based...(very hard to clean up after using).

Re: Plumbing stopped up........clogged up or something

If you don't have a cleanout plug on the main drain line under the MH, now would be a good time to cut the main drain (on the down-sloping side) line close to the problematic bathroom and run a snake from the cut, back toward the problematic bathroom to unclog. If no luck, run snake from new cut, do...

Why do you think I'd need to re-level? Is this something you had to do on your MH? Just curious.

Thanks JD. Do you use Tremco Vulkem 116 behind the flanges when installing windows, too?

Greg,
Can you provide a picture of, or a link to the type vent you will use?
