My only advice is from a Demolition standpoint. Have Plastic Sheets hanging over the doorway of the room. Have some large trash bags for the Insulation and be sure to wear Hard Hat, Safety Goggles, Long Sleeve Shirt and Gloves. The trick is to have a direct flow of debris to the dumpster or burn bar...

Lunar Eclipse Feb 19
There will be a lunar eclipse on Wednesday Feb 19th
For Arkansas we will see it between 9 PM and 10 PM
You can go to the Naval Observatory website and type in your location to get eclipse observation times for your local area.

Close Enough
Here is a demolition job of a Portable Building. It was a tight spot.
On the right side, the Window Air Conditioners of both buildings were touching.
But as you can see, I had some room on the left side to drop the building.

Since I tear down barns and sheds for a living, I will put my two cents in... The idea of leftover stuff is not crazy, just a little specific. Be advised you may have to dismantle the deck or carport in order to transport it. There will be lots of nails and sometimes things break upon removal. You m...

Remember that the mobile home is not designed to hold the weight of a standard wood roof. Check Mark's book for ideas on how to build a roof over. Also remember, if you ever decide to move the mobile home, you will have to remove the roof thing before the licensed mobile home mover will begin his wo...

I agree with Yanita. I used to work at a carpet store and that is what we did. First make sure all the nails are down good. Get the white gypsum patch powder. You mix it like pudding, then spread it over the OSB. Do the seams where the boards meet each other and anywhere there is a nail. The gypsum ...

Good Call. Those water shut-off tools can usually be found at the hardware store. The shut-off tools are good for in the winter if, heaven forbid, a pipe busts from cold. And in the summer if a garden spicket breaks from being rough. Ants like to play in the Water Meter Box so the shut off tool make...

I agree with JD. If you don't need the whole wall out, just cut enough you can go back and forth and leave some frames there for stability. In my demolition experience, all the walls and paneling and sheetmetal work together to support each other. You would think the frame is self-supporting, but it...
