Re: Insulating water line

My line now is wrapped in pipe insulation with heat tape inside of the insulation. I just thought sticking it all inside a pvc might give it some added protection !!

Insulating water line

Has anyone ever tried putting their waterline with heat tape and pipe insulation inside pvc pipe for added protection against freezing. This summer I'm gonna re make a waterline that will not freeze.
I'm looking for ideas.
Thanks

Piers on gravel

Hi guys and gals.
The lot I'm on now has the piers on cement slabs with no rubber pier pads.
The lot I'm moving it to has fresh 2-3" of 3/4 gravel. Do I have to use pier pads or can the cement block sit on gravel. I cant afford the pads at this time.
Thanks

Any recommendations on what to extend/replace the supply/feed line with. Not sure whats there now cause it's still wrapped up with insulation and heat ...

Whats up above

I never saw whats above the ceiling in a mobile home.
I have a 2000 single wide.
I know there is blown insulation but whats after that ? Would ya just see the metal roofing.
Are the ceiling joists metal or wood. Could it be opened up and have a cathedral ceiling ??
Thanks

weed control against skirting

The mobile home we bought has asphalt roof shingles under the skirting keeping grass and weeds from growing close to the skirting. We are gonna move our home to another lot and I had a thought of using rolled roofing for the skirting. It is alot wider and you could put gravel or mulch or anything ya...

Re: Cleaning Intertherm unit floor ducts

This is a post I posted awhile back on how I cleaned our vents. I cleaned my ac vents today. This is the way I did it . I took a stiff tape measure and shoved it into one vent to the next. I bent the end over and taped it in a loop. I then tied a piece of rope to the tape and pulled it through. I th...

Re: outlets connected right to drywall with wings on screws.

Hi !
You can get regular plastic boxes with the wings that hook on the drywall like the originals but you can put a regular outlet in the box instead of the junk one that are in your home now.
Thats what I did.
Good Luck.
