Re: can i paint the ceiling?

You will need a stain blocking ceiling paint. You may find that you will need to use a brush and dab it on. On many types of ceilings if you try to use a roller you will make a big mess. You roll it on in one direction and pull everything (down to the paper) off when you pull back. Once you get it ...

Re: air nailer????

The lower the Ga#, the heavier the nail. I would probably go with a 16Ga. You can always use some glue when you build it up too. Make sure you handle them in the store and make sure they feel right in your hand and you can handle them with no problem, remember that many times you will be working on...

Re: opinion needed..

Go the full length, You can always cut it down if it doesn't look right. Greg Thanks, thats kinda what i was thinking, go full length and make it look like that half wall with the window goes up to the beam instead of the ceiling.. My next issue is figuring out the marriage line cover thats up ther...

Re: air nailer????

16 or 18 ga. Unless you plan on using it a LOT you don't need to go top shelf. I had a Porter cable that I bought about 10 years ago that came apart inside. The parts to fix it came within $20 of a new nailer. I found one at a pawn shop for $25 (a Husky) that works for what I am doing now. Just rem...

]I want to build a nice looking fake beam to replace the factory one that covers the marriage line in the ceiling. Im going to build it from 1x6. My question is, should i extend it right through the top of that window in the half wall, or stop it at the half wall like it is now? In other words, when...

I may try that, or just keep the pex and install new ends on them. (maybe get the crimp tool and learn for myself, guess I should learn anyways..lol)
