RE: coleman evcon model dgat090bdd wont start

Hi,

One flash is Ignition Failure. check the flue as HVAC1000 suggested first.

Is your Booster motor coming on and running at first call for Heat from t-stat ?

If so, after 1 minute, does your Gas Valve show 24-28vac at GV terminals ?

Thanks,
Robert

RE: Blower sometimes won't start

Above post reply by me has been edited to include Blower Relay info. This is most likely the Sequencer, but though rare, could be the Blower Relay. You can take a multi-meter set for 300+ vac and place leads across blower relay terminals 5 and 6. When blower is running it should read 0vac. When blow...

RE: Deck, but no footers allowed!

Best solution for that and good for decks, we do it due to high winds is: BEFORE beginning, lay out deck area and then place 2-4 MH anchors like is under your home in appropriate places underneath where deck will be. When you get the cross beams or floor joists up, wrap the anchor strap around just ...

RE: Minor/Major plumbing issues

Hi,

If the old piping is easily removed then it is best to remove.

It can though be drained and left in underbelly if hard to remove.

RE: Garden Tub Removal

Hi Tim,

It should have a flange all around tub edge that is screwed into wall.

May be covered by a trim of sorts, remove the trim and screws.

Then a tracking along bottom edge that may be nailed to floor.

Turn off water, unhook piping and should come right up.

Take care and best wishes,
Robert

RE: Minor/Major plumbing issues

Yep, blow out old lines so no water leaks out ends. Cut out and let 'em lay there. Then run the Pex right beside it. It holds up well to freezing temps and inside the belly with the duct heat transfer, really no problems. It can not be exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods is main reason for not...

RE: Blower sometimes won't start

Hi, Most likely a faulty Sequencer, but could also be a faulty Blower Relay, IF you have A/C as well as Heat. Sequencer # 621679 @ $35 Blower Relay # 621867 @ $13 Shipping = $12 for both or $6 for one. Scroll down right side column to locate Sequencer. Scroll down left side column to locate Blower R...

RE: Condition of ducts under home

Remove ALL floor registers. Star at one end of home, lay a bright light down in duct aiming toward next register. Go to next register, hold a small mirror down inside and look back toward light. Do this one by one checking all ducts. Also carefully inspect the boot/collar attachment at register. Go ...

RE: What is Ventillaire for the furnace?

ALL VentilAire systems bring in fresh air from outside to mix with return air and distribute through home to improve air quality. Depending on which VentilAire system you have, it may also have a Motor on roof in the flue vent to exhaust the heated/warmed air and any moisture from the attic area. Ta...

RE: Control Power In A DGAA07BDTA

OK, first let me give you the best kept secret in HVAC for homeowners. ANYTIME you replace a Transformer, get an Automotive type fuse holder and an ATC 3 amp fuse. Install it in the hot wire on 24V secondary side of xfrmr. It prevents ANY future xfrmr blowouts from low voltage shorts. With that said...

RE: Coleman EB17B

So your a/c is a self-contained unit with Evaporator Coil outside in Condenser Unit and not inside above your Furnace ? If so, you could have a Limit that is weak and not holding. IF you have no blockages through an a-coil or down in the duct and blower running full speed, then it is getting correct...
