Good for you! I know how long you've been wanting to do that. Feels good to accomplish something, doesn't it?

Painted Textured Walls....Yaaay!!!!

Some of you know that I removed batten strips (mh has been there quite a few years, so hopefully it has done all its major shifting), primed, applied texture, then re-primed, and had to come back home before getting to paint, the FUN part :-) That was back in November. RE: 1st Batten Strip Removed!

Let me see if I've got this straight. You took off batten strips and your seams were narrow, your gaps were even, and now you're tellin' us you don't have textured imprints on the wallboard? WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS JEWEL?!!!!! Girl, you really got a prize, and if I weren't so happy for you, I'd be j...

Ditto all the above. Thanks for sharing. I get so much inspiration, not to mention ideas from what others do.

Don't you love it when you can find mistints in colors you can use? If I see one that there's even a remote possibility that I can use "somewhere" at sometime, I buy it. If I have a specific color in mind, I haunt the mistint section in every town I happen to be in, until I find it. Baby c...

I'll have to google the magic trowel and thinned spackling. I'm not familiar with these. Thanks for the info.

Laurie, can we see a picture of the paneling? It sounds better than most, just by being "real" and a light color. It may not be a bad thing. (Otherwise, we have vays uf dealing with husbands like deese ;-) Your idea sounds like a good one. Does he care if you fill seams in order to paper? ...

Thanks JD, that makes sense. I didn't see a drop-down menu, but it could be just as you said.
