LOL, Arlo. No, I think you have the perfect number of blocks under the column, and I love the "busy" pattern you chose for the walls. You can barely see where the batten strips were.

OUCH. That's a shame, after all your hard work. I like the idea of the big soap dish covering it. I always tell people not to think, that where I put things, reflects my taste. There's usually a reason for things being where they are. [like hiding something]

The vanity looks great, and from what I can see, the counter looks good too. How do you think you screwed it up?

Hi Steelworkersgal, thanks for the compliment, and like Yanita, I've never experienced it coming off the walls. Of course cleaning and priming the walls before texturing help in that. I did use drywall mud or joint compound, and it's only been done in the mobile home since November, but I've had it ...

Isn't that the truth I remember when I went back to glaze my daughter's living room, she was dreading how long she would have to keep the kids out, because she was remembering how long it took to put up the tissue paper with the painting. She couldn't believe how fast the glazing went.

Johnny, you're a sweetie. Thank you. :) Yanita, thanks, and it really is okay. I realize that the texture doesn't show well until after it's glazed, but I was just so excited about getting to finally paint it, I couldn't wait to share. I do like the color; it's very "sunny." As for posting...

LOL! Hi TPR,
Yes, I am the poster of everything. It's just my warped sense of humor. When I realized that I was the only one interested in what I finally got to do, I decided to post to myself. I had a good chuckle while doing it.
