Does the ceiling have any lights in it now? Usually there is room for short can lights but the wiring can be a big job. On this item I would have a professional do the work. You are playing with fire if you know what I mean. Best to have it done correctly to prevent any problems. While the service man is there have them look over your furnace for any other problems.

That is a good question. What I can tell you is this. Most equiptment manufactures will not honor the warrenty that comes with the unit if bought over the net (IE Ebay). There reasoning is solid since most home owner buyers are not qualified to install a furnace and they are obviousely not a dealer ...

There are no kits available that I know of to change over to spark ignition that would be approved for your mobile home furnace. If you furnace was originally available with spark ignition option then you could change it over but the cost of all the parts would make it prohibitive. Save your $$ and ...

According to the NEC you can splice the wires in a correctly sized electrical box with cover. Also you have to have a access panel for all splices in the wall or ceiling. The fish tape deal could become a real pain to do. Splice is easier and will be just as good if done properly. Pay special attent...

There is a slight BTU difference between #2 fuel oil and #1 kero as you call it. The # 2 has more BTU content per gallon and depending upon the price is a better deal.
