Ouch. I do over 5,000 texts a month, without them i'd wear my cell phone battery down talking instead of texting, and not get much work done (can't physically be on the phone around customers in my line of work while servicing accounts/stores)

I always grew up being told 'down' for summer and 'up' for winter. Personally, turning them off for good in the summer has helped cool it down from 80 or so down to 76-77. In fact it's 88 outside now, and 77 inside. Four hours ago it was 94 outside and 80 inside.

I put down Kronotex Laminate Flooring from Lowes in our den last winter, love it. It didn't take the '2 to 3 hours' estimated time though. More like 30 minutes to an hour a evening/night for the whole week, trim molding included. Course, i did throw the back out on night 1 carrying the packaging up ...

I have the same issue, wildirish. living room, cathedral ceilings, hot air trapped. also anywhere else in the house, master br, 3 feet of it between the closet and the main br. Really? I noticed that, where we have the lower ceiling (and actual attic space), the rooms stay very cool...even those th...

we had a terrible time with gnats/fruit flies, around memorial day weekend and before. i used some spray, after a few 'local remedy' tricks didn't pan out. worked ok. finally, we went out of town, so i ended up placing 3 fogger's in the house, cracking the window for an hour, and coming back later t...

Problem is, the skylight area inside the house seems to trap the heat just below the skylight itself, in the square area.♠ I have the same issue, wildirish. living room, cathedral ceilings, hot air trapped. also anywhere else in the house, master br, 3 feet of it between the closet and the main br. ...

I actually saw that both are velux skylight's, while up there taking the old caulk off and putting the new caulk on. FS 056 is the type/size. While inside up in the little 'square' hole though, it would seem the bigger problem of heat coming in is due to the paper thin wall area, and just behind eac...

Skylight problem

Hi, New here, hope i'm posting in the right subforum. I have 2 skylights in a 28x80 mh. Both in bathrooms. Wife loves em, i am starting to hate them. The heat(whether from the sunlight source or being trapped up in the 'square') is ridiculous...it feels 20 to 40 degrees hotter inside where the cut o...
