RE: slate / stone floors

Depend on what is already on the floor. I would want it in my place cause of the weight. Not enough support on the uderside to have that weight on the top side. The underside would sag under that kind of weight.

RE: Caterpillars

I think you are right. I couldn't even begin to estimate how tall the trees are in my back yard. Good luck to me getting the pests. This is supposed to be the last year. Lets hope so!

RE: Solar panel

I would like to mount it to the shed, but wouldn't get the sun cause of the trees. Would have to make something to mount it to that could be moved if needed. I really need to know what I'm gonna try first. I was gonna put a black tarp over the pool, but decided against it cause the top ring would pr...

Caterpillars

I don't know how many of you know about the Tent Caterpillars, but we can't get rid of them here. This is year number three or four. I find them in the house sometimes, in the shed, crawling up the siding, and worst of all, was scooping them everyday out of the pool. I finally drained the pool to mo...

RE: Determined mouse

I used the sticky traps when we lived in Abbotsford, B.C. I found they work the best, except of course when the mouse doesn't land directly on it. I had set one in my broiler drawer under my oven. Forgot about it and turned it on. It was when I started smelling fur and burnt caramel that I remembere...

RE: Exterior Paint Question?!

CLR claims to remove rust. Never tried it myself. Usually found in cleaner section in most stores. They also have a spray form of CLR.

RE: Solar panel

I agree about the roof. Don't want anything up there. Thats why I'm thinking of maybe a panel mounted on something closer to the ground, with maybe black hose or pipe running through. The panel would help heat the pipe or hose, with the water running through. Could have the panel facing more upward,...

RE: Mobilehome Park Conversions

That would be nice to see laws pass. My mother-in-law sold her park near Vancouver B.C. I know the guy bought it to divide or tear out. The 2010 Olympics are going to be in Vancouver, he stands to make allot of money putting in a motel, Hotel or even a camp and RV park. The people in that park are m...

Solar panel

I have seen the design for the solar panel. I would like to know if anyone has ever tried something like that to heat water( say for like a pool that is freezing cold). I was thinking of trying something like that, but using the huge pumps from my aquarium to circulate the water to the panel, since ...

RE: Whistling faucet

I had a whistle in my old faucet when it was loose and getting air in the line. Got a new faucet, made sure everything was tight, ran it until all air was out.

RE: Always something happening here!

Just want to add one more thing to this topic. The rock trucks have be running steady to build a dyke at the end of Graham where we live. People don't realize that those trucks need alot of time to come to a stop, or even slow down. My heart goes out to the family whose 23 year old son was hit and k...

RE: What do I do with this?

We were thinking that the first couple years of our trailers life, it was in a camp, or meant for a camp of sorts, and that was put in to shut off power to the compound or yard area. We assumed this from some old letters I found in behind the closet. We can't tell if the wiring was removed from behi...

LOL, But could you imagine the wires running down the whole park. At least I could shut them down when ever I felt like it.

What do I do with this?

http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/175_Picture_070_1.jpg This breaker is in my hallway. The wires run through the ceiling, but are NOT live. I took out my daughters closet to see where the rest of the wires were going, but there was just an empty casing. I don't want to start pulling the wir...
