RE: waiting for siding

I like your pile of rot. I'm waiting for my girls mp3 player to charge, then I'll plug in the camera. We'll see if I can one-up on your pile with what I had above the window. It wasn't a pretty site. I might start on my front porch on Sunday, if our wonderful weather co-operates. I should be getting...

RE: Manufactured home,Mobile Home or Trailer???

Ours isn't mobile anymore either. Been here too long to even think about moving. I know my brother-in-law likes to make comments to me about being "Trailer trash" but all in all, our trailer has more square footage than their little shack of a house. We didn't have to get a mortgage either...

RE: New members

Unless we have a trip planned, which is still usually in B.C. We stick around Terrace and Kitimat. After the Salmon spawn, Kitimat is not my fav spot. The fish are all over the rivers edge ready to die and the stink. Have you ever got you hook into a spawned out Salmon. Like trying to reel in a wet ...

RE: Questions about buying a repo

When we bought ours, we knew there was work to be done, But as soon as I pulled the lino from the laundryroom, our friend went through the floor. We didn't use the master bedroom for a month and a half because there always seemed to be wood beetles(sow bugs) by the doorway. We found out the exterior...

RE: doorway question

We spent a whole day going from an old 28" trailer door to a standard door. They wanted extra money at Rona to cut the door to fit. It looked like a baby door. It was worth the work to cut into the exterior tin and reframe. Now my monster-in-law can fit through the door!

RE: Deck, but no footers allowed!

Up in the sticks here, we can go in and ask for post supports, and they know what we mean. That is what i'm using since I am going to build a free standing deck. I had a verbal agreement with the previous park owner about the size off addition and deck he would allow me to have, but since the park c...

The cost of a fishing licence in B.C. is getting outrageous. But, every year, there I am the first day of the new season, getting my licence. Not worth getting caught without one. My smoker is usually going steady during the summer. We are fishing, rain or shine.

RE: Park Living PRO's & CON's

Unlike Troyster, I don't have the crackheads next door.lol. But I do have a guy next door that is on more meds than an average town. He is pretty harmless, but can still be annoying. The benefit of that is that they go on holidays a couple times a year. I take care of their place, and get to use the...

RE: took 10 years to ask this...

I know I am new here, but I would like to add to this from years of being in the construction trade. Flat ceilings are way more cost efficient. With the price of lumber, and the extra cost of having anyone install paneling or drywall to a cathedral or vaulted ceiling is outrageous. I have yet to wor...
