Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a replacement vertical window for this crank open window? It has to be a direct bolt in replacement. The size is aprox. 14.5 x 27"
Thanks,
Chris

RE: PB pipe leak images
I had the same thing happen below the vanity in our master bath, except our kink was much worse than that! Eventually it failed right at the crease and ruined the floor.

RE: Inside corners of rooms...
I used metal backed inside drywall corners. They work great and are quite sturdy. I bought mine at Lowe's. I had huge gaps at all the inside and outside corners in a bathroom remodel I'm just finishing and they did the trick.

Beadboard wainscotting
I'm looking to put some kind of beadboard wainscotting in our master bath. I purchased a 32 x 48 panel at Home Depot which was exactly what I wanted. After I got it home I saw it can not be used in high humidity! I then bought a pack of beadboard panels from Lowe's that are not much better- have to ...

My 1990 Skyine does the same thing, it is the metal ducts expanding and contracting as they heat and cool. I live in Pa. also.

When I installed coax through the floor of my mother's house years ago (all her ducts were in the ceiling), I drilled a hole in the floor where appropriate, then took a straightened coat hanger and poked it down through the insulation and vapor barrier. Then it was simply a matter of going undernea...

Re: RE: Bathroom floor repair
I do not understand about laying 2 layers of linoleum to level out the floors. If you replace the subfloor then you would float all the seams and screw heads. Some vinyls require a luan over the subfloor as well. I always lay down luan to get a real flat smooth finish, again floating all edges and ...

Bathroom floor repair
I need your help in deciding if I can replace this floor myself. The house has been replumbed, the recovery company has fans and a dehumidifier running for days, all that is left to be done is the floor, insulation/underbelly and vanity! The first pic shows warped flooring right up against the tub a...

RE: Water leak, spongy floor, underbelly sagging! Part II
They actually cut a small portion out of the underbelly. I am aware the insulation will grow mold. An insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow, a local MH repair company is also coming to do a complete replumb. I have to wait to see the adjuster's estimate, but the MH place is going to do the floor and...

Water leak, spongy floor, underbelly sagging! Part II
Well, I called the insurance company to come look at the water damage. They immediately sent a company in to dry things out. They removed the linoleum, put 2 fans and a dehumidifier in the bathroom running 24/7 to dry out the floor. They also cut an opening in the underbelly to let the water out. So...

Water leak, spongy floor, underbelly sagging!
Help! I noticed today the area in front of the master bath vanity was very spongy. I found the cold water line at the faucet leaking, dripping and running down the grey pipe (Pb) into the floor. I tightened the line. I looked under the house and found a pool of water, the underbelly sagging way down...

You may want to look at this.

I sent for a sample and I can tell you it looks just like real beadboard. You'll never be able to tell the difference especially on a ceiling.

Back door part II
As some of you may know from the previously highjacked door post, I am looking to replace the mobile home type back door of our '90 Skyline single with something else. I found a 30 by 80" wood door at a home surplus store. It is made of Douglas fir. It would fit well in the 32" wide rough ...

RE: Replacing door
I am also looking to replace our back mobile home type door with a regular door. The actual door itself measures 32" by 76" with the rough? opening being 34 1/4 by 78 1/4" I looked at doors at Lowes today and found one that was 32" wide. I know I have to cut the height down, but ...

Maybe the scabbing on that was done on the side frame pieces? This will weaken the bottom of the door if not attached securely. The replacement frame section is glued, screwed and stapled (just like the factory!) and the metal frame provides structural rigidity. I think the reason it rotted in the ...
