Re: How To Jack/Block/Level Up A 38' Park Model?

Hi Dave

I'm in central Florida also. Citrus county. Here you can not install a park model on private land. The smallest MH allowed here on private land is 600 square feet. Park models are allowed in MH/RV parks only. I would check with the county.

My 2 cents.

Re: fleetwood 2001

Hi Edward Almost every water heater has a dip tube. Usually when the dip tube starts to disintegrate you will see small chunks of plastic in your faucet aerators. I replace my water heaters when they reach 10 years old. I was fortune enough to have the $ to do so. Here's a good article that explains...

Re: How far can I set my home back from septic tanks?

hi

Yep. In my county it is also the Health Dept in charge of the septic tanks. In my case the system had to be more than 80' from the well. Plus the size of the tank and square footage of the leach field depends on the size of the residence.

Yep .... call your local authority.

Re: Doublewide info?

Hi Which state are you in? Many problems are due to poor installation of the mobile home. I would make to get a copy of the Installation manual for that specific home and then make sure it is followed. The manual will have items such as a support pier diagram and tie-down locations. It will also cov...

Jan Electric Bill - WOW

Just got our Jan electric bill $338.00. We had 13 days of record low temp.

In the winter we keep our thermostat on 70.

Power bills up north must be killer this time of the year.

Re: height to set double wide home

Hi

What is the local code? Where is the setup?

In Florida you can go up to 52" of blocking but after 36" your piers need to be "double tiered and blocks interlocked". Anything higher would need special approval.

Hi

Where in Florida? I'm in Citrus county.

In Florida we need lots of ventilation down under. What kind of skirting do you have?
