Our water company sent a quick 'note' recently- "Due to the local drought, please only water once a week. If it isn't needed, please don't water at all. To do the simple needing water test, step on a few blades. If they spring back up right away, your lawn needs water. If they don't, please don...

As far as your holes in the underbelly, ours wasn't new, rather 10 years old when bought from a repo place (2200 sq ft place and the price was right!) but they had cut a small slit under the bathroom. Yanita i think it's safe to say that Ike will be southern Florida bound. Big difference in the sheer and dry mass between Hannah and Ike. We'll see, but hope that eases your tension....i can say i'm 85% sure it's southern florida bound, and 100% sure it won't be Carolina bound. (landfall wise) Still...

Charleston noon Friday looks to be the landfall target. My initial guess of Hilton Head still could be it as well though. North and east side of the storm will drown most of the Carolina's piedmont as she moves north.

Looks like Charleston will still be the 'center' point for landfall, my guess of Hilton Head initially may hold true though. North and east will get some brutal rain out of this as it moves up through the piedmont of the Carolina's.

How much is regular fuel going for up in your neck of the woods? We spiked up a dime, since last Thursday, but i anticipated that being a holiday weekend. $3.28 to 3.38. I noticed it's usually 30 cents more from Asheville over to Charlotte, Friday up there was $3.60ish I'm in Brevard and today its ...

Image of all storms since 1851 of Cat 3, 4 and 5 hurricanes passing within 400 miles of Gustav. Updated model shows Hannah hugging the eastern coast of Fla...hopefully stays that way and the typical heavy rain/winds northeast part of the system stays off shore.
