RE: 6 x 12 greenhouse for starting plants

Yanita, I think you may need a 28 x 40 greenhouse! LOL Here are some progress photos. Tomorrow, we will paint what is done so far. We wish the boards didn't have to go quite so high in the front but unfortunately, we don't have the right sized windows in the stash. Ron says he can cut it down later ...

RE: 6 x 12 greenhouse for starting plants

Thanks Yanita and I will be looking forward to seeing the pictures of your progress as well. Ron is planning on having a window that opens at the top on one end and one that opens on the bottom on the other end for ventilation. He is also planning on it being boards rather than glass from the bottom...

6 x 12 greenhouse for starting plants

http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/1397_greenhouse_morning_1.jpg http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/1397_greenhouse_031909_a_1.jpg Thought maybe someone here would be interested in seeing the new 6 x 12 greenhouse going up out by the pond. As you can see, the morning light will shine ...

RE: Contraptioneer!

Being an oportunist is part of the talent of taking stuff and turning it into an asset. Ron's reaction to your post was "How much?" LOL So apparently, he is willing to be hired out.

RE: Contraptioneer!

Yeah, can you imagine two McGuyver types living under the same roof? It's fun, interesting, and maybe even scary to visitors! LOL Figured I might as well post some photos of some of the things Ron has made. Maybe someone else needs some ideas. Feel free to e-mail me with questions. Pat This is Ron's...

Contraptioneer!

Hi everyone! I haven't visited in awhile but thought I would share something kinda special. There's a new man in my life and for those who know me from this site, I have to tell you that he's my twin soul in more ways than I can count. As you know, I like to "McGuyver" but I have met the m...

RE: Stand Alone Roof-Over

Thanks for that link JD. Here is what I have found so far. Steel prices have increased by 15% and are about to go up again but lumber is as low as it's been since 1992. This first picture shows a conventional stand alone roof-over and they have a slide out too, just like me. No offense to the folks ...

Hi Robin,
I planted directly in the stumps. Just scooped out the rotted parts, put some dirt in, stuck the plants in, put more dirt in and then kept really well watered for about a month until they were established. Glad you liked the idea!

Fargoman, you have your work cut out for you as I did this job last year for my Michigan mobile home. You might want to check out some of my posts about it. Good luck and allow 5 x more time to do the job than your highest estimate of how long it will take.

Rhododendrons and other rustic gardens

I'm just so proud of my rhodie I planted by the garage last year that I had to show it off. Might as well show you the other flower beds I put in last year too and the last one is the vegetable garden going in. http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/1397_060208_018_1.jpg http://mobilehomerepair.c...

Cheap fence

Here is something that can be done for people who have access to a whole heck of a lot of small trees.

Oh yeah, this project will be all legal-like with zoning and building permits and all work done to code. I'm getting younger too Robert, and don't want to fight city hall. I think one of my concerns is that the roof over will be tall enough so that if I decide to get a different mobile someday, the ...

Hi Yanita, Yeah, it's finally spring, I hope. However, we did have frost on both May 28 and 29th. My roof-over project is in the wishing stages at this point and I'm looking for some unique ideas. I have a 19'slab of cement in front of the trailer that I'd like a roof over as well so that I can make...
