Re: And what about rats or something like that...

My bride hide the radio from me. I think she put it in a zip lock bag and stored it with the hurricane supplies. At the time I think most of the critters were getting into the ducts system via the flex crossover duct. It had a hole in it the size of a big butted recoon. Yep - owls are good and Red S...

Re: And what about rats or something like that...

Hi I put a radio in the duct and tuned to rap music. The rodents didn't like it and my wife didn't either. So I went to HD and bought one of those silent to humans sonic devices...about 3 years ago. I think they work. Also under the MH I use several different things traps even poison. We live in the...

This is better than any soap.

When she asks "where does everyone sleep in your trailer?"...tell her everyone sleeps on the kitchen floor with the frig door open ... been so hot lately.

Hi

If you go with the Oetiker system you may want to check out the clamp ring buster tool. I makes removing a ring easy.

Hi

I think the noises are normal. My 1988 MH makes a variety of noises.

Hi

Taut in the summer. You'll need to loosen them in the winter in Wisc.

As for me....it's taut all year in sunny Florida.

Yep - "Trailerlicious" - Run a couple of short movies on Youtube to get started. Let us know when you do. Could be something big. Sounds like fun for sure.

Re: Trouble with Neighbors

Hi Great photo! I lived in a park in Davie, Fl (south Florida). The owner lived in California. The park manager was really tough. I got written up all the time. This would include a fine which got added on to your rent. Lots of "palace guards" would rat me out. Wash the MH, cut the grass, ...

Re: Leveling Questions

Hi

First - I don't have anyone reliable around here either.

Second - I would probably jack the ends level and block leaving the base ribbon in place hoping it has settled enough for another 20 years. Your way would probably work as well.

Re: How To Jack/Block/Level Up A 38' Park Model?

Hi Dave Two 10 ton bottle jacks should do it. I would use jack plates to protect the beams. Here's a copy of a popular manufacturers installation manual for single wides as it pertains to jacking. The jacking procedure is as follows: 1. After the home is located in its fi nal position, you can preli...
