What can I do with these windows?

I'm replacing the casing around the window, and when I removed the 1/8'' crap trim that is custom  I saw that there was more layered around the inside of my window. The black strip on the left in the 2nd and 3rd pic is a shadow BTW... http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/4838_Window_Surro...

What to do when there are no gaps?

Between the wallboards after removing the batten strips, there are only a few that need to be filled, so should I just put the mesh tape over the parts where two panels are flush to each other and continue with the mud/spackle process, or do I have to coat them with something before applying the tap...

RE: 1st Batten Strip Removed!

I know a lot of people on the forum have concerns about the texture matching whenever you remove the batten seams and use a smooth compound, but the texture on my wallboards, well, isn't really texture, it's already very very smooth, my father in law who built houses for the majority of his life cam...

RE: Follow up Bath Wall Problem

Greg can I plane the stud with a power sander or planer to level it out, then re-attach the wall panel or replace the panel with a section of drywall?

RE: Follow up Bath Wall Problem

The wall feels so solid when I press on it, if the wallboard was cracked wouldn't it give a little?

Follow up Bath Wall Problem

I removed the batten strip, and there were no seams, it was just decorative! Then I popped off the trim on the side of the door and saw that the wall board was cracked from the bottom of the floor to the highest ginormous nailhead that was put in place, I'm assuming to repair. Here's the highest nai...

RE: Need a Layout for Novalis Flooring

Here's the pattern I was talking about, you can see a little more clearly how every seam of each plank doesn't line up

Need a Layout for Novalis Flooring

I like the look of the subway style pattern, I guess you'd call it staggered, but how do I do this, I know I lay down the first row, but then how do I space the second row (width wise) so it's not copycat to the first one?
By the way, I'm using the 4''x36'' plank peel and stick.
Thanks!

Hot water spitting and sputtering!

I turned the kitchen knob and it was spitting and sputtering, not a lot of water coming out, sounded like very loud air shooting out.
Checked cold water, that's fine, cold water is fine throughout the house, hot water is only doing this...
any suggestions?

Re: RE: Master Bath Buldge

Yup, that's the only way, make sure to shut off your electric though before you do this. It is possible that you have a twisted stud inside the wall. Yanita a twisted stud? what in the name of God... nevermind. can I turn of the electric to the bathroom instead of the whole house when I peek behind...

Re: RE: Master Bath Buldge

Do you know if the electric switch box is attached to a stud or does the switch have the ears that grip the paneling when tightened? You might be able to pull the switch out of the wall if it's the second type and use a flashlight to see any odd wood workings. 930 omg switch box ears? what the???? ...
