RE: Again with the Elastomeric Roof Coating

Asphalt shingles can be painted with latex or acrylic latex paints that allow moisture to escape. Two manufactures I am aware of that produce paints specifically for shingles are Behr and Sherwin Williams (unaflex). I have not painted shingles myself so have no first hand experience however I do no ...

RE: Tankless Hot Water Heater

One of the residents in our park has a tankless that shuts off if park water pressure drops below 35 lbs which it does most weekend mornings. Food for thought.

Depending on the number of homes and the potential lot rents if I lived in your area I would definitely be taking a look at buying your park. Too bad it's so far away.

RE: How much is too much to pay for 1964 Skyline Homette tra

The value really depends on the market you are in. As with anything you will need to research the local market, comparison shop to get an idea of what homes sell for. In Canada, as an example, I would have to pay upwards of $20,000 for the same home that would sell in Florida for maybe $3000. Not kn...

If I am not mistaken I believe most Red Neck jokes are derived from the "form following function" approach to life.

Not that it's a bad thing.

RE: Backsplash done

You should really seal it with something like a clear urethane or any stains (grease, spaghetti sauce, water etc.) will leave a mark that you can not remove. Several coats of urethane will allow you to wipe it off easily and help to prevent black water stains (mold) from forming along the bottom edge.

RE: The ever popular frozen pipes question.

If you are not heating your home via forced air ducting under the floor it will be impossible to guarantee you will not have frozen pipes unless every line located below the floor has heat tape on it. Because heat rises there is not enough passing down through your floor. More heat tape or a heat so...

RE: Frozen water lines....my fix

You have been misinformed about the park being responsible for sewer lines. The park is only responsible for underground sewer lines which are unlikely to ever freeze.

Your sewer lines will freeze above ground under your home and that will be your responsibility.

RE: Finally some GOOD news about the sale of a park!!!

Nice win/win situation.

Tenants in my park tried to organize to buy it several years ago.
Turns out it was like trying to get a pack of cats to walk in a straight line.
Back then it was an affordable price now it is out of reach.

I have also tried every method known to man and the only sure fire hands down successful method I know is poison. If you use a product that kills and dehydrates the rodent you will not have a smell. They go to water after ingesting the poison and die quickly turning into a dust ball. There are plent...

RE: ....and a short foot-chase followed...

You are going to need eye drops from a vet to clear up the eye infection the wipes are not going to reach the cause.

Try providing a second litter box and place some of the cats poop in it to get the message across. Once it starts using it you can try removing the one it sleeps in.

RE: Carpet rippling

It is most likely rippling because it is stretching. You simply need to have it re stretched and trimmed around the edges or you could do it yourself if you can get a "kicker" from a carpet installer. Tool rental places may have them.

Double check to make sure the plug is actually cleared. The blockage forced the water up the stack when you plunged so the blockage may not have cleared.

RE: flooring choices

If it is for the purpose of resale go with price. Although green products may be the wave of the future they are more expensive and most likely your buyer will not care. Having said that I would advise not using laminate in kitchen or bath and for comfort under foot would definitely stay with carpet...

RE: Electrical issues

They may both be on the same circuit. If your panel does not properly identify what is on each breaker (fuse) make an effort to identify each one. You will then know which breaker the rooms are on. If you end up with a breaker with nothing on it that is the one you want and it may be defective. If y...
