RE: flex-mend tape

Ut oh. I think I may have the black board kind. It's not really a board though. More like a heavy paper with strings in it. Well, I tried it out tonight anyway. I wiped it off good with a dry rag but didn't even try a wet rag because it doesn't seem like a real good idea to get it wet at all. Used s...

flex-mend tape

The directions say to clean off the belly board before applying the tape. What should I clean it with? Oh, and how long should I hold the hair dryer on it? Thanks.

RE: Determined mouse

LOL, that mouse picture really cracks me up because I have the same problem. Mice that avoid getting caught! Only, I have a live trap because I can't bear to kill the little critters. I've caught them in the vacuum cleaner attachments but almost never in the live trap.

Is there some kind of L-shaped metal or something else that would be easier to screw to the perimeter joists? I have a full cement slab and 2 x 4 perimeter on the cement which the skirting ...

RE: Those mirrored walls

Hi All and thanks, The molding was purchased from a picture frame dealer on e-bay and was rather expensive but I fell in love with it and nothing else would do! I made a few mistakes when mitering the corners and had to use a little wood putty to disquise them. I used a pearlized type paint on the m...

Those mirrored walls

Here is what I did with one wall in my living room that I tried to make look somewhat like a home theater. I put insulation in the wall to help block the sound but it didn't do any good. I still like how it turned out. Might give others some ideas. http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/1397_mirr...
