Re: limt tripping

Hi, You cannot look at an a-coil and determine if it is clean or not. Need to test airflow across filter and across a-coil. Ensure you are getting proper cfm through the furnace and across the element coils. Also, those sequencers work on a timing pattern and you will not always have all elements on...

Hi,

Test ignitor leads for 120vac with a call for heat whenever the ignitor should be energized.

Re: Adding an Outside Compressor for AC; Put Return Where?

Hi, When it was installed, did it come set up for a/c ? Did it have two door panels ? Solid bottom door in front of furnace and a louvered upper door ? If so, the a-coil sit atop the furnace and the return air comes in through the upper louvered door. If not and you have an open top furnace with a f...

Re: Coleman DGAT075BDD Four Flashing Lights

HI,

Four Flashes is a limit switch cycling. You will need to first determine which limit is kicking out and then determine why.

Make sure the filter, blower motor and wheel and a/c a-coil if you have a/c are all clean so as to not restrict airflow through furnace chamber.

Re: Intermitent Blower operation

Hi,

Make sure all wires are tight and not loose. If so, that is often due to a bad fan switch.

Fan Switch # 7975 - 3281 can be seen and ordered here by paging down :

Re: Blower works intermittently in auto.

Hi,

The blower motor and elements are controlled by sequencers.

Sequencer # 01 - 0842 can be seen and ordered here by paging down :

http://www.aberdeenhomerepair.com/store ... 8621678%29

Could be a bad sequencer or a bad motor.

Re: Coleman 3400-820

Hi Jeremy,

IF you tested as stated with furnace not turning off at that time, it would lead to the problem.

Need to know what each and every test result is/was.

Robert

Re: Coleman 3400-820

Hi Jeremy, Look at left end of each element coil for a spade terminal on a white ceramic insulator. Take a volt meter and place one lead on the terminal and the other on an unpainted metal screw. Test for 120vac. Do this with thermostat turned OFF and furnace coils still energized as you stated. IF ...
