Re: Old mobile home as "storage barn"?

Sounds like you are on the right path, just make sure zoning allows 2 MH,we had ours grandfathered in but if we replaced could only have 1 mh on the lot. We have tossed around the idea of the large storage buildings of making into a house with an upstairs I even have the plans made for a few differen...

Re: Interior kitchen wall - strength for cabinets

Hi We ran into this in our 1973 MH, when replacing windows, plus all was gutted so the choice to replace all the 1x3 studs with 2x4 was an easy one. You are not planning a total gutt so I would replace the kitchen- bath wall with a new 2x4 wall, insulate it too,so nice not to hear bathroom activities ...

Re: Free Lot rent

Oh I agree, everyone wants something for nothing now days. Lots for mH are impossible to find any where in the area. This lot has a beautiful view of the Ohio River and the town and hills surrounding it and a large lot once leveled and cleaned of brush. I have not heard any more from them yet but to...

Re: Help with new floor (vinyl planks)

I like my vinyl planks BUT they show every little bump.dip.crack so prep before hand and check under every piece, and it scratches very easy--if I had the extra money I would have put down hardwood floors but it was a basement,my upstairs has hardwood floors and they are the best. If you want me to I...

Re: New owner and Ceiling leak.

Hi Welcome to the forum! I own 2--1973 mobile homes and they are pledged with problems ---one of the mobile homes had drywall for the ceiling and it was way too heavy for the trusses and cause many of the same problems you have currently. In another mh, we left the trusses and used Masonite as the ce...

Re: kitchen cabinets.
