Re: Acrylic kitchen sink?

Here is the sink I'm putting in our place: http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk184/JeepsOLot/Mobile%20Home%20in%20Stuart/The%20Renovation/2012-02-26_20-51-18_864.jpg I think it's fiberglass, but, not really sure, got it for $18 at Habitat's Restore. It's got a nick here and there, but, we needed a ...

Just check with your local code enforcement to know what you need to get it done right.

Skirting on the Cheap

In the town I will be living, Habitat for Humanity has a deconstruction section at their Restore thrift store. This is stuff that was saved from places that were being demolished. I found some plastic siding that looks like cedar siding. It was $1 a 3' x 18" section, so, I bought enough to skir...

Re: Cleaned the Driveway and Carport, what a difference!!

It's a double wide built in '81. I'm not sure when the porch and carport were added. I just bought the place, so haven't done much to it yet.

Re: First time MH Renter/Possible Buyer

I've decided to buy the place. One thing that concerns me is the no title issue with the MH. The guy I.will be getting it from was never given a title for the MH, just the deed for the land. Will this become an issue when I buy the place? I can't remember right off hand, but isn't there such a thing...

Re: Cleaned the Driveway and Carport, what a difference!!

LOL, you know it!! My last name is Murphy, so, you know what that means! I did save some pieces of the flooring you see there for future repairs, as well as some of the sheet rock. I was afraid of keeping most of it because, under that pile that you see, there were TONS of ants!! I just saved a few ...

Cleaned the Driveway and Carport, what a difference!!

I spent most of the day cutting back the growth on the sides of the driveway, cleaning stuff that was stored in the carport, and hosed the whole driveway down. I'm satisfied!! Replacing odd size door

I have a 32"x79" side door that goes into the kitchen. I can't seem to find anyone that has that size door. If I can't find that size, I would like a wider door, how much of a PITA is it to enlarge the door frame area? Thanks!

Re: looking to relocate

I don't know anyone personally that lives in a MH park, except the one I'm moving to, and that one only has a $45 per quarter HOA fee, as all of the units the owners own the land with the MH. Won't have to worry about lot fees, thank God!! Try to look for one like mine, just an HOA fee, which should...

Re: looking to relocate

Where in FL are you looking into moving to? South FL is nice, but, it can get very hot down here. Central FL is really nice, but, jobs are not that plentiful. Actually, as a whole, it's hard to find jobs down here. Working in auto repair might gain you better hopes, as, at least in South FL, there a...

Re: First time MH Renter/Possible Buyer

Thanks, guys! 1987Commodore, I've seen the one you're talking about, my soon-to-be next door neighbor has one. Looks like the only things that are either in or under the home, in their case, are the ducts themselves and the registers in the floor. Makes the unit itself easier to service and maintain...

Re: First time MH Renter/Possible Buyer

^^^ The main problem with that is, the central air handler and AC compressor/heat pump were taken out, it's not just a duct work issue. The PO's said that the center air system was VERY inefficient, even when the ducts were repaired. They also told me that with the two window units running, the elec...
