Re: Photo album ?

I miss that too. I got inspiration and ideas from others, and we had a great interchange in discussions of our projects.

Re: wallpaper

Lorne, that's pretty much what I was thinking. I hope there's something more cost effective considering how much will be needed for walls. Neelata, I posted your question on another forum where I knew there were wallpaper hangers, whom I hoped would know what product you could use. Sorry, no one kne...

Re: When I peeled back the vinyl paper...

Good info. Thanks! I didn't see any "damaged" walls though. Those actually have holes in them where chunks of the drywall came out when peeling the paper off. I'm going to look into this product. Sounds interesting.

Re: Sponge Walls without Priming?

If it's only one wall, you could always try it and see, then prime and re-paint that one wall if it doesn't work. How successful it is to sponge over what's already there, kinda depends on what kind of paint is already on the wall. I don't personally like sponging on flat paint, for example. I have ...

Quote: "I primed. You can still see the pink a little through the primer. " Don't worry about the primer not totally covering the pink. The paint is supposed to do that. The primer's job, among other things. is to seal in stains, etc. and give the paint something "toothy" (for la...

Re: Painting interior question

There have been many posts in regards to this subject. Using the search forum posts feature, you could find pages of opinions and recommendations. The gist of it would be a thorough prep and cleaning and using a high adhesion latex primer. Zinsser BIN 123 or High Hide Cover-Stain. Many people have ...

Re: My Bathroom Reno Process

Looks like things are looking up. One thing I wanted to mention, are you sure it's mold and not mildew? The reason I ask is, the other day I was watching one of those programs on TV about home improvements by the home owner, with the "expert's" advice. The homeowner was upset because she s...
