RE: Roofover or Pole barn roof

We just redid the roof on our 25 year old doublewide. We used the recommendations from Mark's book and ended up putting in 3/4# insulation and a tin roof. We had no problems getting the permit (the contractor who did the roof for us got it). We showed the contractor the pages in the book and the roo...

RE: Some pics...

:( ----> ceiling leaks, blechhhh. I just discovered 3 new (I hope) leaks and had the roof re-coated with an elastomeric sealant. I'm sure I'll have more ceiling repair in the near future, but in the meantime I'm enjoying being able to watch tv without an umbrella. :)

RE: Cell phones..an update and my decisions at present...

My plan is $120/mo for 3 phones with unlimited txt, free nights/weekends, nationwide long distance and more minutes than we've ever been able to use. Texting is the preferred form of communication for most of the ppl we contact, so the only person who uses the talk time is my husband who refuses to ...

RE: Grandkids

Loved looking at all the pics of kids/grandkids. I have a new one on the way in November. We know its going to be a girl, so I'm going crazy looking at little girly stuff. She is still nameless and we're having fun trying to pick out a name.

RE: Cell phones..an update and my decisions at present...

We have a family plan so we can stay in touch with the grandkids. I got unlimited texting (so I wouldn't go bankrupt) because the granddaughter can text thousands of times a month. I'm having a dickens of a time learning how to text. It took me over an hour to figure out how to space between words. ...

RE: Restoring aluminum siding

I couldn't believe the difference before and after it was done. My neighbors too were amazed and couldn't believe it. It left the finish with a smooth texture. I'll use the same product again. All the ugly rust stains are gone. It was an inexpensive way to restore the finish and certainly was easier...

Restoring aluminum siding

The aluminum siding on our home was in really bad shape when we bought it. It hadn't been cleaned or refinished in years. We got several estimates to get it repainted (we are not physically able to do it ourselves) and the price was unbelievable. I read on the computer that there were products that ...
