Outdoor water spigot

I need to replace the outdoor spigot in my 1984 Redman doublewide & I'm not to sure how these hook up under the house to the water line. Is the 8" spigot Marks selling basically the same one I have? I've replaced a lot of the old type spigots that screw on a galvanised water line but never ...

Shower drain removal

My Wife's having me remove our shower & turn it into a closet. The plastic pan is cracked & the showers so small you can barely turn around in it, so It's pretty useless & we could use more closet space. The pan doesn't look to difficult to remove & I know I have to cap off the drain ...

RE: MORE SNOW AGAIN (ARGGH)

We got to a frosty -19F last night with a -40 wind chill. There's around 8" of snow on the ground. Neither my truck nor my car would start this morning [ I'm not lucky enough to have a garage ]. Right now It's a sunny -4.

running faucet in freezing weather?

I live in a doublewide on a permanent foundation. With our temps. getting well below zero for the next few days should I leave a faucet dripping so the water lines don't freeze? I live in the country so I have a well & septic system. The company that cleaned my septic says not to because it can ...

RE: Christmas Trees Already

My Wife & I go to a tree farm to chop ours down, also. We always go the day after Thanksgiving so I wouldn't think you'd be putting it up to early.

RE: wall removal

Thanks for all the help. My wife sometimes does & sometimes doesn't want me to taking the wall out fearing the roof will cave in if I do it. This might help change her mind. I'd like it down for all the room we'd get. If I end up doing it I'll post some before & after pictures.

RE: wall removal

Yes, both bedrooms are on the same side of the house, it's not the wall where the two sections of the house go together.

wall removal

I live in a double wide & would like to remove a wall separating two bedrooms to give us one large bedroom. I don't believe this is a load bearing wall but would like to be sure it's safe to do this to one of these houses.

Ceiling fan help

I've been given a pair of expensive 52" ceiling fans & not sure if it's safe to install them from these ceilings. I live in a 1984 Redmond double wide. I know I can put a support bar up there between the trusses, but they look like flimsy little 2 by 2's & these fans are pretty heavy. I...
