RE: Location of filter for Coleman/Evcon Presidential Furnac

Sorry about that. I thought all colemans use a louvered front door and the filter just fits in and is held down with the metal holder.

Could be Robert will know of a different filter for yours.

I believe the filter goes in the louvered door on the front of the furnace. You might also need a filter clip/holder if yours is missing.

Look on this page for parts and filters.

Your blower is supposed to be running any time the elements are on. If you have a on setting on the thermostat for the blower turn it on. I want to see if the fan runs with it set to on.

RE: Wesco Model 2100 Electric Furnace-blower won't start

Since we do not have any actual parts listed for your unit you will need to find the one listed or tracked down on your wiring diagram that shows it connects/controls the blower circuit. Then I will need all the numbers off of the control including the brand of sequencer.

Look at some of these pictures to get a idea of what parts look like. NOTE These are not parts for your furnace but pictures to see what the parts look like.

I have no parts list or parts that I know for sure fits your Wesco furnace.

General rule is no smoke coming off flame tops but add no more air than necessary. I have eye balled to many furnaces in my life when i was a young guy. Finally many years ago I got a Kane May tester from England and that always put it dead on with no guessing. Nozzle education http://www.delavaninc...

RE: Wesco Model 2100 Electric Furnace-blower won't start

Usually something like this is caused by a sequencer in a electric furnace. Sorry but I do not have a listing for that brand.

using kerosene The unit should run very clean.

There is more to a tune up than just replacing the nozzle. You might want to arrange for a service call to see exactly what they do. A weak oil pump will also give you a headache under these circumstances.

The coils will glow if the blower is not working. It is not suggested that you run your furnace under those circumstances. Follow the wiring diagram on your unit to track the problem down. If you feel the sequencer is defective holding off your blower I would just jump the blower terminals on the se...

A shotgun is a wonderful deterrent but only if aimed well. Rock salt instead of pellets will also give them a memory of when they visited your place.

RE: Nordyne furnace will not stay lit

Check your ground wires. They usually are green but they can be almost any color. The situation you have is intermittent and a loose/corroded connection will cause this.

Now for my stupid question. Are you sure you have gas? I just had to toss that one in.
