RE: AngieH63 your car

You might want to be sure that the Tranny fluid is up to the proper level and that it is the proper grade. Might be a pressure drop when cornering or stopping fast. worth a try.

RE: Drywall Mud too thin, any ideas?

Drywall Mud too thin, any ideas?

Over a year ago I had 1/3 of a 5 Gal container of Lightweight Mud left after my last fix-up and added a touch of water so it wouldn't dry out and sealed the bucket. Guess that was a little dumb. Well it is still good BUT way too thin, DAAAAAA. Should I just get a small bag of dry Lightweight mix and...

RE: I like this!

The interest on the National Debt is around $400,000,000,000 per year right now. 400BILLION. As to where they are getting the money from, China is a big player, but there are other countries in on the split also. Hitler blamed all they're troubles on the Jews when the German economy collapsed and go...

Lipstick on shower surround screws.

Still working on my shower. No real rush. I found that putting a spot of lipstick on each screw head and then placing the pre-cut piece of sheetrock against them marks where they will bulge out. I then picked a little depression over each spot and the sheetrock lays flat. I also us a piece of Masoni...

RE: Real plumbers ARE expensive, aren't they?

And ,older or maybe newer, mobile Homes seem to be a big problem area.
Undoubtedly there was a "Code" in affect in 1986 when they built this one, but it must have been the "Morse Code" ,full of dots and dashes.

RE: Sink drain

How about some Draino and let it sit a while.
Or unscrew the P-Trap in case the clog is there? Just a thought.

RE: Real plumbers ARE expensive, aren't they?

I agree hole heatedly, but there should be a NO-POO discount.
This guy said they did a house that had sewage draining directly to the ground under the house for 2 years. He said they had rubber suits, duct taped they're gloves on and respirators.

Oh well, I'm just glad that part is finished.

Real plumbers ARE expensive, aren't they?

After waiting for weeks to have a local handy-man Type connect my drain from the new shower base and correct screw-ups under the house, made in 1986, when they built this home (had to be drunk out of they're minds at the time) I finally got it connected. I first called a Handyman recommended by a ne...

Sterling Shower Surround screws

The Mounting Flange Instructions call for "non-tapered Flat Head Screws". Well I search and searched HD, but all flat head wood screws are tapered. I was going to use Pan Head because they were the only Non-tapered screws on the displays, until......... I saw "Lath Screws", oh go...

Flaired Stop Fitting install question

I finally got up the nerve to CUT the 2 Gray Poly water lines to the shower. I used 2 "Straight Stop Valves" (White Plastic) and the install went fine. Knock wood. I tried to stick a piece of PEX into the fitting to see how it fit. It was MUCH tighter then the Gray Poly and almost refused ...

I ended up just using shims and little blocks under the 3/4" plywood. It is now level and firm.
Thanks for the "Foam" info.
