Bathroom mirror smashed
I'm redoing my wifes bathroom and along with the Vanity, the Now Frame-less, mirror had to go too. I Read all the online ideas of how to remove it and decided to go with clear plastic covering it. It was suggested that I go to a carpet store and by adhesive plastic. Not me, I'm too inventive. Yeah r...

Re: Solatube anyone?
Here is a link http://www.solatube.com/residential/brightenup.php . On further examination It might not be worth the money and effort, because she is not in the bathroom for very long compared to the expense of the electricity used. Adding another wall light would be cheaper. There is only one ceil...

Solatube anyone?
Wife's bathroom has no window, so I though one of these would brighten it up during the day.
They say it can be combines with a fan and a light for night time.
Any experience with these? Was it expensive?

My favorite scraper [url] http://www.handsontools.com/Lisle-52000-Razor-Blade-Scraper_p_241.html#/url] If you never tried one of these it is all kinds of great. I got mine from Snap-On years ago while working in a bus garage removing vinyl decals from old buses. Easy to control the scraping angle an...

If they "Part Out" the clunkers they make more money, even without an engine. We're talking "Chop Shop".

RE: Which rain gutter style?
Thanks for the link. I see that it goes over your existing gutter so that is added expense. I saw a type that has a Sponge type material that is stuffed into the gutter to keep stuff out. Also grills and grate styles. If they would install a section of the Gutter Helmut free to test then I might bel...

Which rain gutter style?
We are plagued by Hickory nuts that range from the size of marbles up to the golf ball size, plus chewed up shells from squirrels. Then there are the twigs and leaves. Any experience with this style? I see there is a style of rain gutter where the water follows the curve of the top of the gutter and...

RE: Removing old exterior windows
When they pulled out my old bedroom window they twisted and yanked to break the caulking seal.
As the window twisted it SHATTERED and shot BIG HUNKS of glass all over and one shot into the floor and stuck.
WOW. be careful, use Duct Tape and wear sleeves and glasses.
Just a thought.

Matt finish will show any grease spots, like finger prints etc. another small "Ring" spot was left after my wife set a HOT cup of coffee on top. Now this was with the regular spray clear. This Minwax Polycrylic is supposed to resist water and such. Every couple of days I "Wet Sand&quo...
