Re: Advice on exterior painting, please....

Replying to myself... I believe that my request would require a very long detailed response, which is why I've received no responses! In the meantime, I've googled around and learned some stuff. So thanks for reading, anyone who did.

Advice on exterior painting, please....

I have a 1974 double-wide, which I moved into in 2006. The exterior was painted once in 2008, but I knew very little (like nothing) about hiring painters, so the job was not done very well. One of the sides has afternoon California sun for hours much of the year, and the paint (light green) is very ...

Re: Screeching bathroom fans....

Thanks, Greg. That makes a lot of sense and also sounds like 3 in 1 oil would cost me a lot less than new fans and their mechanisms!

Screeching bathroom fans....

I have a 1975 home with two bathrooms. In both there is a ceiling fan. Both of them have begun to screech sometimes when I turn them on. The only thing I've done to them (I've been here 15 years) over the years has been to remove the cover, clean the dust out, and use WD40 on them. It stops the scre...

I have a 1974 home in relatively good repair. Recently my dishwasher stopped rinsing. It was here when we moved in, so it gave at least 15 years of good service. I had a new one delivered and my handyman installed it. The dishwasher works great, and I've always had good experience using his skills f...

Re: A/C and heat comes from the ceiling vents. Are the existing floor vents necessary?

Thank you, Greg. That makes sense to me. They did call this home "top of the line" when I purchased it, but realtors seem to exaggerate things on occasion. I appreciate your response.

A/C and heat comes from the ceiling vents. Are the existing floor vents necessary?

I own a 1974 mobile home which I've lived in for 12 years. It's quite comfortable; the central heat and a/c works fine and the energy bills are relatively low, no doubt due to double glazed windows and living in the California climate. The home has ceiling vents and floor vents. The a/c and heat com...
