The drain cover in my master bedroom with the only working shower is literally falling apart on its own. I've tried to remove it so I can go to HD or Lowes and find a replacement but can't get it off. Any advice. I cannot afford a plumber.

Re: Installing Honeywell Lyric T5 Smart Thermostat
Oh well I've just gotten off the phone with Honeywell and even after video chatting with them so they can see the inside of the furnace they were still unable to help because we couldn't see which wires correspond with the ones attached to the thermostat. So suggested that I hire an HVAC tech instal...

Installing Honeywell Lyric T5 Smart Thermostat
I hope I'm in the right forum. I'm trying to install a smart thermostat. Last month I had to have a repair to the old Coleman furnace and the technician said I have the necessary "C" wire. However, my old thermostat which is digital doesn't have a "C" terminal. I know "C&quo...

Re: Installing Security Cameras Without Eves To Hide & Shade
The truth of the matter is I likely do not need them either. However, I receive a lot of deliveries and I'm alone a good deal of the time because my other half works and stays out of town during the week. For me, it's just a matter of precaution because I am also partially disabled can't shoot strai...

Installing Security Cameras Without Eves To Hide & Shade
My home only has hover hangs where on the sides under the awnings/porch/carport on both sides which is great for the Security Cameras I'm installing there as it provides both shade and a little stealth if I hang them up high. However, I also plan on placing one that pans on a rear corner that will c...

Installing Outdoor Electrical Outlets
I recently looked up how to install outdoor electrical outlets. What I found was instructions on how to do it for a site-built home. What they basically did was cut out a piece of the outside wall directly behind an indoor outlet and connected the outdoor outlet to the same wiring. Are Mobile home w...

Re: Hardwood Pallet Flooring!
Thanks for the replies and the advice. I haven't been in high school for many years, but my wood shop teacher is still the wood shop teacher at my old High School and he said I could use the planer and joiner at the school and he'd help me on a Saturday. So I'm lucky in that regard. Also here is the...

Hardwood Pallet Flooring!
I sometimes wish that I participated in this forum more often. However, I'm really limited in what I can and can't don't or when I can do things due to a partial disability in my right hand and arm. However, I'm committed to this project. I been doing a lot of research on using reclaimed pallets and...

Re: Changing Outlets In Kitchen!
I just realized my post above was written poorly. It's not outlets per box as in the printed diagram above. Its just one double outlet like standard per box but with only 2 wires a white one a black one and an uninsulated copper ground. I'm feeling so frustrated right now that I may not be explainin...

Changing Outlets In Kitchen!
My kitchen was just remodeled with custom cabinets, granite, and a tile backsplash. Now I need to change the outlets and covers so the color doesn't clash with the tile a granite. I've run into a couple issues. I've changed a couple on one side of my kitchen without a problem - with outlets purchase...

The Remodel Is Going Strong
So I found a great guy that has worked on Mobile Homes for 30 years to do 99% of the remodeling work on my Mobile Home. However, I'm doing a few things myself. Until recently I had never installed a Ceiling Fan and I was able to do it without a hitch. Actually, I replaced an existing one so it was r...

Exposed Nails Around Roof Vents
Hello, Since I just bought my first Mobile Home I'm going to ask what feels like a stupid question. The Home Inspector who did the pre-purchase inspection said the roof is Aluminum and looks to be in good shape, but the nails around the roof vents need to be sealed because they are currently exposed...
