Re: plumbing in wall to tubs

If it were me, given the fact that this stuff is failing elsewhere, I would put in an acess panel like this: http://tinyurl.com/4bbqzll

But if you don't, I know that the quick connect fittings are sized to fit CPVC as well.

Ditto the masking tape idea. It works.

Re: plumbing in wall to tubs

Not clear exactly what material you are replacing? CPVC? Older polyethylene tubing? The PEX Quick Connect fittings will also work with other materials, like CPVC or copper. I'm not sure if it works with other types of plastic tubing. I have had several in place for about 4 years without any trouble,...

Not to be dumb, but what was its purpose as spam? It didn't have any links to shady websites or anything like that.

The Roof board is how thick? Probably 7/16" OSB, but I would verify that before going out and buying any. The boards are not 2x6 it is 2x5 who the hell makes 2x5 studs........ A standard 2x6 is really only 1 1/2" x 5 1/2". http://www.engineersedge.com/commercial_lumber_sizes.htm If y...

Re: How much does it cost to get a furnace inspected?

Many companies have free estimates, which can help you see what youre looking at money-wise. I think you might be better off paying for a service call to have the furnace cleaned. The skeptic in me says anyone who would offer to come out and do this for free is more inclined to try to sell me somet...

I'm sorry; I always hate it when people pick on grammar or spelling issues with posts, but this question is completely incomprehensible.

Re: Water Softener not plugged in but water draining

Is it stuck in the middle of a recharge cycle? Can you manually advance the control to the off, or normal use position? Sounds like an issue with the control unit if it has had time to run through a full cycle and is still discharging water. EDIT: I re-read the OP and realized that you may not have ...

Re: How to fix a Hole in a vent??

If you're talking about where the duct meets the floor, I don't think those are expected to be airtight. If you are talking about the joints between sections of ductwork, you should use a foil based tape made specifically for sealing ductwork (ironically, traditional cloth duct tape is not best for ...

Re: dealing with american modern insurance

When did you first report the claim? Was that in May? If it has been more than 30 days since you first contacted the company, contact your state's insurance commissioner to complain. There is no reason for it to take this long to adjust a roof claim.

Re: HOW DO I CHANGE A SHOWER MIXER SET UP

You may not need the whole assembly. Many faucets have a cartridge, or washers that you can change from the front. How old is the faucet? What brand is it? If it is a common brand like Delta, you can probably shut the water off, remove the cartridge or washers and take them to a local home center or...

Progressive covers my 1971 seasonal-use MH. The amount of dwelling coverage is fairly low, consistent with the actual value of the home. As far as contents limits, you are correct; you should go around and inventory everything you own to make sure you are not missing anything to be covered. Your age...

Re: Low water pressure & softner question

While the 1/2 main line is not correct, it should not be causing the problem as you describe it when only 1 fixture is running. Yes, it will cause a significant drop when you run a second fixture, like flushing the toilet while someone is in the shower. Maybe the problem is with the softener itself....
