Re: Ceiling fan lights stops after 10-20 mins?
Does it trip the breaker on that circuit??? If not, check connections. If so, the fan itself may be on its last legs.

Re: Moisture barrier and leak comming up through the floor
Mark, To investigate a leak, start at the top and work your way down. Check the roof(soft spots), flashing(or gutters) and siding. Repair, seal, replace as necessary. If you have a door or window in the area, check around those as well. If a window is nearby, is it possible a window air conditioner ...

Re: Lights Dimming
Lights dimming/flickering is usually a problem of a bad connection somewhere or overloaded circuits. As was posted before, its not at all uncommon to have a problem "upstream" of the home.

Re: Question - Pex lines
Don't let anyone steer you wrong. PEX is great stuff for mobiles. Both of the homes Ive put PEX in have great water pressure, no leaks, no unhappy customers. Ive used the crimp ring fittings each time, never tried the push-fit or sharkbites.

Re: outward opening door
Norm and Greg are on the right track here, lol!!! An easy way would be to screw a 2x4 across the door and frame from the inside. That way they would have to pry out the door and the frame to get in, and that would require strength and make lots of noise. Its an easy removal as well. Criminals prefer...

Self-leveling compound saves you some time. Follow the directions on the can. Ive also heard of people using automotive body filler to level out floors and fill screw holes but Ive never tried it.

Re: Fairmont Homes
There's a Fairmont plant in Nappanee, Indiana about 80 miles East of me. The Elkhart/Goshen/Nappanee area has been #1 for manufactured homes/RVs for decades. They also offer Canadian-standard homes as well. Go for it if the price is right.

Re: HOA Fees
You get the HOA you ask for. Show up, and vote. We had a rule against "commercial vehicles", had to be parked in the public lot and not at the owner's homes. It only affected 5 of us at the time. Once one of the trucks got broken into, we got our heads together and made our case before the...

Re: New owner and Ceiling leak.
So far, so good on your plan. Seal up the leak, dry everything out. Replace what's damaged.
Id give the roof a good look, you may have more than one leak. Once you know you're "dry", you replace the insulation that got nasty, then repair/replace the ceiling and texture/paint.

Re: PEX (plumbing) questions
I wouldn't let it hang down. Tack it up above the belly insulation to keep the pipes from freezing up, plus it keeps anyone from cutting into the tubing if they're cutting the belly open for some kind of service(or to remove a dead "critter")

You could always set an island in between two vertical columns, then wrap the columns with wooden trim for good looks value. That keeps the yelling from the kitchen down to a low roar..

There is no repairing swollen copper tubing, remove and replace with PEX. The copper does have some scrap value though, lol!!
