When I redid my master bath I was going to use Red guard but then went with the kirdi system.
I have seen people waterproof a lot of things with the red guard but never used for an outside wall.
In theory it should work, but I would rather use a membrane or tar paper in your case.

Re: Is underbelly material even necessary?
I too am in Arizona ..Mesa and I dont see a need for the underbelly material here, pipes do not freeze and the critters are scarce besides scorpions and common spiders etc... No coyotes in my crawlspace either

Re: air nailer????
There is not a one gun/nailer that does it all. I now have air staplers.Palm nailer, brad nailers, and framing nailer which it shoots 3 different angle of nails up to 3.5 inches long (Harbor freight tool and works great) in my arsenal of air tools. Only one I do no like to use is my small palm naile...

Does anyone know how this type of ceiling comes if in panels or sheets? and to repair or replace them do I remove the wider strips? is that what is holding this ceiling up is it still available? or should I replace all with drywall? 1978 skyline http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p290/antlerz/ad94d6...

Re: Installing New Shower Valve???
The plates I have replaced have a set screw that hold them in place you push them as close to the wall as you can and tighten up the set screw. Do you have a model number and or picture of your set up?

Re: Pressure washing a 1978
Thanks Mark, yeah that is a scary sight seeing 1x2 and 2x2's for wall framing. Maybe on this 78 it will be at least 2x4 framing. My siding runs vertical also sounds like the way yours is. here is a picture

Re: roof advice
In Arizona, if the home is say ground set or pit set or basement under it and comes with land, we file an Affidavit of Affixture and then the home and land are deeded together and then considered a HOME. as the way the real estate agent here informed me.
