Should I replace heat tape?
Our heat tape is approx 8 years old. It is a Frostex "bulk" type with a thermostat on one end and a "cap" on the other. My question is, our water main had to be replaced, and before the park maintenance guy put the heat tape back, I happen to take a look at it. It was folded over...

RE: Water Leak Potential
THANK YOU for the tip! I too have those type of hoses. Years ago I noticed one of the rubber hoses had a big "bubble" - about ready to burst. So, I bought the burst proof ones you mention. Well worth it!

I sure wish you were a little closer to NE Iowa Mark - there is no one in our area fixing MH's. Well there are ...

RE: Water Riser - full of water?
THANKS for the quick reply Mark! I just got home and the park maint man was still under our house - he took off all the insulation and the shutoff is not leaking, and nothing is leaking from as far down as he can reach. He bailed the water out and it came back up a short time later to about the grou...

Water Riser - full of water?
Hello! The water riser under our house (where the waterline comes out of the ground and connects to the water meter is full of water. Our park maint folks said that it is ok, and that there is no leak. Now I have never seen water in our riser in the 16 years we have lived there, and my question is -...

RE: Window Washing
Your windows look similar to mine. What I do to remove the inside top pane is to firmly grasp the lower edge just above where if slide into the metal piece, and then slide it straight up. It will move about 1/2 inch or so and that is far enough to then remove the pane. I can then clean the inside of...
